It seems as if the tempestuous media firestorm surrounding Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s abrupt exit from Buckingham Palace continues to make waves for everyone interested in their daily drama. Although sources repeatedly agree that the rift was born from tensions between Harry and his brother Prince William people continuously try to interject their wives into the mix. Many have been saying that Meghan and William’s wife Kate Middleton don’t have the best relationship, but as as more details come out it appears they haven’t had any kind of relationship at all.
Where Kate and Meghan are busy living their lives and trying to make sense of the messiness surrounding them their fans are bloodthirsty for ANYTHING that can remotely look like a dig at their faves. It’s no secret that there’s a #TeamKate and a #TeamMeghan but the antics to how deep the divide goes among their followers is deplorable. For example, Buzzfeed reports Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney has recently attempted to raise funds for the families of Flight 752, which was shot down by Iranian missiles on January 9, killing sixty three Canadian nationals (Jessica is Canadian).
Jessica’s efforts to spread awareness coincided with Kate’s touching message about Holocaust survivors in two completely unrelated posts. Unfortunately, Jessica then posted an IG story referring back to her efforts to fund raise writing “Pretty pictures are pretty pictures. Strive to use your platform for good and spread stories of incredible people striving to make this world a better place.” What was simply a call to action became a war cry for members of #TeamKate who immediately believed Jessica was throwing shade.
So the jessica mulroney thinks she can overshadow HRH Catherine😂😂😂😂😂Only in her dreams. Her next procedure needs to be a personality transplant.

Twitter users began sending nasty comments Jessica’s way all day after that, and they were unrelenting with their opinions. One user wrote “Shame, shame, shame on Ben and Jessica Mulroney 4 trying to throw shade on HRH Catherine as DoC’s Holocaust pictures went on display.” with another continuing the shade fest by writing “Jessica is Jewish. Disappointed she didn’t do a thing to honor and Auschwitz survivors but spent the time posting against a woman who did.”
Jessica didn’t remain silent though.
As a Jewish woman I find this inference very offensive. Any person who uses their platform to raise awareness of the atrocities of Holocaust is doing great work. My family was deeply impacted by the Holocaust.

Unfortunately her efforts were in vain because people continued to rally for #TeamKate by insisting Jessica was doing Meghan’s dirty work and taking direct shots at the Duchess of Cambridge. Things only got worse when her IG Story disappeared 24 hours later (as all stories do) with people thinking she intentionally took the post down. Eventually she spoke out once again as people continuously bombarded her with accusations. Answering another user who had something to say Jessica wrote “In what world does a Jewish woman or anyone for that matter call a Holocaust picture “pretty”. This interpretation of my Instagram story is truly devastating to me and my Jewish family.”
The drama is continuously spreading out of control like a wildfire. And no matter if you’re #TeamKate or #TeamMeghan one thing’s certain; anyone can get the smoke.
