John Cena, one of the few WWE superstars to successfully transition into Hollywood, was announced to be joining F9: The Fast Saga back in June of 2019. There are no details as to what Cena's role will be in the film. It's no surprise that Cena's team was in negotiations to get him this role. Cena is known to be a gearhead and for the franchise to snag a personality like him could mean the series could be returning to its roots with a more car-centric story.

The fans mourned for the loss of their favorite street racer that started it all and wondered how the films would honor the memory of Walker. Cody and Caleb Walker had filmed their brother's final scenes in Furious 7 as CGI was used to bid him farewell for the fans. Even though Brian O'Connor is off-screen retired from the criminal life raising his new family. It's rumored that O'Connor is set to return to, but no one knows how that would be possible without Paul Walker.
