For movie stars, it can get really tough to realize the inevitable fact that they are getting older. As this happens there are obvious signs of aging that begin to show. Yet, they try and cover them up with surgery and fancy hair products.

Sylvester Stallone is one of the few old action stars that is still in good shape. For years now everyone could pretty much see that his hair color was not looking as natural. So over the last few days, he has literally gone gray.

The Sharp Contrast

Without a doubt, Sly has been one of those celebrities that have certainly embraced aging in a sense. He has taken up movie roles where his characters are a lot more mature. He is still very much in shape and that really helps out.

Yet, taking a look at him in that video that he posted on social media it is easy to see that he basically does not look like the same person. Granted, the video seems to be shot with him just getting out of bed. The contrast though is pretty remarkable.

Movie Role or Here To Stay

Of course, the new look has garnered quite a bit of attention. There is a lot of speculation though as to what Sly is going for. Is this the new look that he is going to have moving forward? Maybe it is just part of a role that he is going to be playing a movie.

It would not be the first time that Stallone goes all out for a movie role. A couple of years ago with his role in the movie "Creed", he played a battered Rocky Balboa that did not look anything like he did in the old days.

Not The First One To Do It

This change is one that we have seen before. A long time friend of Sly's and also an Expendables alum, former governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has also been one of the former action stars that have embraced the gray hair look.

He went full gray hair for his role in the last Terminator movie, and he has been flirting with a gray beard brown hair look ever since. These days you can see him being all gray or not really depending on the day.

New Movie Roles Are Not Out of The Question

With the success of the Irishman came sort of a ray of hope for a lot of aging movie stars. The fact is that CGI is so advanced these days that movie magic is probably going to do a better job than the stars' on-call plastic surgeon.

Oddly enough this allows aging stars to have a wider range of roles that they can play. This could lead to a lot of them embracing that gray look and just aging naturally without having to go through extensive treatments.
