“It's not always physical assault. It's not always rape,” Theron said to [Telegraph] (https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/12/17/charlize-theron-revives-accusations-sexual-harassment-famous/) of her interaction with a "famous Hollywood producer." “There's a psychological damage that happens for women in the everyday casualness of language, touch or threat — threat of losing your job. Those are things I've definitely encountered.”

Dunning explained that he began harassing him before that encounter.

"He would make comments about my looks or my body but it wasn’t any worse than what I dealt with at nightclubs or anywhere else,” she said. “There were no red flags”

“I wanted to pretend it didn’t happen," Dunning said of why she didn't come forward sooner. "I didn’t want to be a victim. I was trying to get work from him, so it was a work relationship. … It was a really big deal for me.”

Prosecutor Meghan Hast asked Dunning, “Are you getting anything from this?”

“No,” Dunning said, a sob rising in her throat. “If anything, I’m losing. I’m spending money, I’m spending time. It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.”
