Yesterday was a clear example of that age-old phrase that applies to show business so much. The show must go on! Holding a show in Downtown LA on the day of Kobe Bryant's untimely passing made everything spiral out of control. As people were trying to get to the Grammys they where met by people trying to get to the Staples Center.

As the show must go on, it becomes important to talk about what went on in the Grammys besides the performance. What went on was that Billie Eilish showed she is the force to be reckoned with for years to come!

They say that records are meant to be broken. The one that was set last night is probably going to stand for quite some time. Billie Eilish became the youngest singer to win the album of the year award. At just 18 years old. The record was previously held by Taylor Swift who won the award when she was just 20 years old.

Swift then went on to be the first woman ever to win the award multiple times. So there is still some more ground to cover to Eilish.

Before moving on to talk about the other awards that the singer won last night it is important to point something out. It is really hard to actually sell a full album these days. The records are probably going to show that in recent years the number of albums that you need to sell to win the award is lower than ever before.

That does not mean that it is going to be easier to win the award by any means. The fact is people are not buying full albums these days.

Now, it is really time to put things in perspective. Billie Eilish won the big 4 awards of the night. She won the awards for best album, record, song of the year, while also obviously winning the best new artist award. This is something that had not been seen since Christopher Cross did it back in 1981. He was the only person to sweep those 4 categories in a single year.

Sadly, Cross' career went pretty much downhill from there. As he was not able to find success in his next efforts.

Keeping Things In The Family

The "Big 4" were not the only awards that Billie Elish and brother Finneas O’Connell took home after the ceremony. He actually made a bit of history for himself. As he became the youngest person to ever receive an award for the best producer of the year. He is just 22 years old.

The full list of the awards that the sister and brother duo took home last night goes as follows: best album, best-engineered album and best pop vocal album for "We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?," best song and record for "Bad Guy," best new artist and best producer, non-classical
