Lil Nas X came a long way from having "Old Town Road" denied on the country charts, to having Billy Ray Cyrus boost it to hip-hop and country, then taking over internationally. BTS remixed it for "Seoul Town Road" winning them a joint performance with Lil Nas X at the Grammys.

The group of superstars performed on a rotating stage with differently designed rooms, representing "Old Town Road"'s universal success. Triumphant, Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus took home two Grammys.

Billie Eilish has quickly become a favorite, all her music being instant hits on radio stations. Her persona and style of baggy clothes, colored hair, and long nails precede her. With plenty of haters criticizing her age or detachment from sexualization and objectification, she rose above it.

Her performance of "when the party's over" was angelic and moving, her voice serenading the audience. A haunting rendition, Eilish proved her maturity and importance as an artist. She took home five Grammys.

Tyler The Creator

Tyler The Creator soon after criticized the Grammys for putting African American artists like himself under urban or R&B categories. Although grateful that his music's reach is credible to the Grammys, he would want less of an obvious separation.

His performance of "NEW MAGIC WAND" was hypnotic, a light show of pastel houses behind him as he spits game into the mic. Tyler The Creator twitched and rapped in his Igor costume, the bowl cut blond wig. He took home the Grammy for best rap album.

Lizzo started out the night with her medley of "Cuz I Love You" and "Truth Hurts", coming out in a black, sparkly Christian Siriano dress. Lizzo's journey has been a long one, "Truth Hurts" hitting the top charts two years after its release.

She stunned with her performance, everyone in the audience bopping along. In between transitions, she played the flute and gave a platform to African American ballerinas, only for more dancers to come and amaze. Lizzo went home with three Grammys.
