'Tiger King' Star Joe Exotic Begs Cardi B For Help With His Prison Release!

'Tiger King' star Joe Exotic is pleading with Cardi B to help him get out of prison and says the way is very simple, just watch 'Tiger King 2.'

The zookeeper reached out to the rapper via Instagram hoping that she gets the message to be his "voice of freedom" while behind bars. Like the rest of us, Cardi made it known she was a fan of the show and questioned the real story about Carole Baskin and the whole dead husband situation.

"To Cardi B: When you see the truth in Tiger King 2 I need you to rally everyone together, Be my voice of freedom!" he wrote from behind bars. Adding, "Be my hero girl."

The handwritten note was posted on Instagram by Joe Exotic's team and appears to be written by him and sent from the prison.

As you know, in a series of now-deleted tweets, Cardi B vowed to launch a GoFundMe account to free Joe Exotic. At the time, the world was just introduced to his situation which included a jury finding him guilty of a murder-for-hire plot against his longtime nemesis Carole Baskin, and a few animal-related crimes.

"Carol you think you slick b----," Cardi tweeted. Adding, "Bout to start a gofundme account for Joe. He shall be free."

Unfortunately, several media outlets pointed out that the company doesn't allow fundraisers in defense of inmates convicted of violent crimes. So, Cardi tweeted claiming she was just joking about the whole get Joe out of prison thing.

"Omg I was just playing," she said. Cardi continued, "I do love him tho and he deff needed better representation .oooooooooooooooooo here Kitty Kitty."

At this point, Joe is appealing his 22-year sentence and hoping he can get the conviction overturned. Exotic has been serving time at a Grady County Jail in Chickasha, OK -- but was in the process of being transferred. The zookeeper believes he is not guilty and claims he is the victim of a conspiracy between his ex-zookeeper partner and government agencies. We broke the story, the 'Tiger King' star filed a $94 million dollar lawsuit against his ex-partner Jeff Lowe, along with the U.S. Federal Wildlife Service and the United States Department of Interior.

Joe Exotic got a bit of good news in the past few months after a judge ruled Joe's case and its sentence had been made in error. Specifically, the 'Tiger King' star is looking at a few years being shaved off of his prison sentence -- from 22 years to a lighter one of 17-21. Again, this isn't a huge difference but a few years is a few years.

His lawyer was pumped about the decision, saying, "I knew when I agreed to represent Joe that an appeal would be difficult, but I also knew that the law was on Joe’s side." Adding, “I am optimistic that the decision today is but one of many more victories to come for Joe — and his eventual freedom.”
