President Obama, President Trump, and More Mourn The Passing of Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died in a horrific helicopter crash Sunday. Their death has left the country stunned and grief-stricken. Here are what other celebrities are saying about the tragedy.

Actor Elija Wood stated, "So sad to hear about Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna and the others who lost their lives tragically this morning. My love to their families. 💔"

Superbowl Champ Lane Johnson expressed his grief, "From your love of your hometown of Philly to your competitiveness in everything to your legendary career to your Mamba Mentality to the speech you gave our team to how you were the definition of a true leader & man... RIP to a Legend."

"Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day," expressed President Barack Obama in his statement.

Martin Luther King III took to Twitter to say, "The bond between a dad and daughter is everlasting. Soar on Kobe and Gianna."

"His legend will live forever. #RIPKobeByrant 💔," stated Star Wars actor Mark Hammil.

Actor Halle Berry said in her statement on the tragedy, "There are no real words to convey the depth of my sadness. Love and strength to Kobe’s entire family and to the families of all who were lost in today’s crash."

Singer Jennifer Hudson also expressed her grief on her Twitter, “I was holding out hoping that it wasn’t true ! Lord his daughter too. #kobebryant #giannabryant."

Whether they were involved with sports or not, celebrities from all over are mourning the loss of one of the most well-known names today. This tragedy will take time to heal and will be fresh on peoples on minds for many months to come.

Kobe made his mark in history and will be missed dearly by people all over. His name will forever be put down in the history books as one of the greatest people to ever hold a basketball.
