As millions of fans, including celebrities, are taking to social media to share their sadness on the death of Kobe Bryant and his young daughter, Kaley Cuoco is joining the list of stars having trouble processing the loss.
The “Big Bang Theory” star posted a long message Sunday on Instagram hours after the news broke that Kobe and 13-year-old Gianna Bryant had died when their helicopter slammed into a hillside in Calabasas and burst into flames. The Bryants were two of 9 victims who perished aboard the aircraft.
“Been sitting here for a few hours completely gutted by this news,” Cuoco began her tribute to the late NBA star and his family.
“Kobe – this one is gonna hurt for a long long time .
I feel so lucky being able to witness your brilliance court side so many times including your record scoring game.
I loved basketball because of you. I compared every athlete to you. You made your mark on this earth and will always be the GOAT. My future children will know it was you!!”
After her tribute to Kobe and GiGi, Cuoco made sure to send love to Vanessa Bryant and the rest of the family during such a truly horrific time.
“Deepest prayers for Kobe, GiGi, Vanessa and their 3 daughters,” she wrote.
Cuoco is one of many celebrities who have shared their pain and sadness over the loss of Kobe. As we reported, Kevin Hart also went on social media and expressed his confusion over the situation.
“This honestly doesn’t make sense….I just saw you man. This hurts my heart. God please place your hands on his family and help guide them thru this unbearable time. We love you forever man…Legends never die!!!! #MambaMentality #RIP…. RIP to the other passengers as well as sending prayers to their families,” the “Jumanji” star wrote.
Perhaps one of the stars feeling the loss harder than most is Kobe’s former Los Angeles Lakers teammate, Shaquille O’Neal.
The big man also just took to social media and made it clear his pain is unbearable.
“There are no words to express the pain I’m going through now with this tragic and sad moment of loosing my neice Gigi & my friend, my brother, my partner in winning championships, my dude and my homie. I love you and you will be missed. My condolences goes out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. IM SICK RIGHT NOW !”
Snoop Dogg commented on Shaq’s post, as the rapper has been a huge fan of both Kobe and Shaq over the years.
“I love y’all brotherhood. I was there good and bad and it allways ended good. Love u Shaq praying for u as well kobe n Shaq. Best duo since. Dre n snoop.”
