Channing Tatum has been a heartthrob for so long, probably since his super sweet role in "She's The Man" opposite Amanda Bynes. He's since been in modern classics like "Step Up" where he met ex-wife Jenna Dewan.

There's a lot of noise these days surrounding his split with Dewan, but that shouldn't overshadow his great characteristics and accomplishments. Tatum has his place in Hollywood history and should be validated. Here are 4 things we love most about actor Channing Tatum.

Romance Films

Not just in the fantastic teen flick "She's The Man", Tatum has starred in an assortment of romantic films, playing the lead guy. He was obviously gifted with the physique of a typecast in romances, but he really does fit the mold perfectly.

In other films like "Dear John" and "The Vow", he goes toe to toe with great actresses like Amanda Seyfried and Rachel McAdams. It's a hard sell to be desired by all audiences, and he somehow hit the sweet spot.

Magic Mike

Tatum is no stranger to the stripping industry, confirmed that he started out as a stripper before breaking out as a model then actor. His experience in dance and stripping made him perfect for "Magic Mike" and "Magic Mike XXL".

Those films were blockbuster hits, not only gaining momentum through unsurmountable eye candy but creating a great film with plot. Not that everyone went to watch the films for plot, but they cemented his and Matthew McConaughey's skill before "Dallas Buyers Club".

21 Jump Street

Everyone knew Tatum could be dramatic actor, but when paired with comedian Jonah Hill, the two struck gold with "21 Jump Street" and "22 Jump Street". Filled with explosions, hilarity, awkward high school experiences, and an odd couple friendship, this franchise is too good for this world.

Tatum plays an ex-jock that never graduated high school while Hill plays the nerdy guy he bullied. Both grew up to be cops, and are now forced to be partners, undercover as high schoolers.

He's Doing His Best

Amid divorce with Jenna Dewan and sparking a new relationship with musical artist Jessie J, Tatum's doing the best he can. He and Dewan are currently sharing custody of their daughter Everly Tatum, so it must be hard on her too.

Lately, most Hollywood paparazzi are trying to pit Jessie J and Dewan against each other and that seems unethical considering they're all trying to stay amicable. At the end of the day, Tatum's just a dude doing his job and living his life.
