Gina Carano is a former MMA fighter turned actress who landed the acting break of a lifetime when she scored a role in the Emmy-nominated "Star Wars" live-action Disney+ show, "The Mandalorian."

However, the right-wing conservative also has been very vocal about her political views on social media, mainly her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

Although many of her posts have been flagged with a misinformation warning and have been prevented from being shared, liked, or commented on, Carano has continued to tweet controversial statements which ultimately led to Lucasfilm firing her from the show.

Why Was Gina Carano Fired?

Many of Carano's controversial statements started back during the 2020 election when she backed Donald Trump's claims of alleged voter fraud.

She has also openly mocked mask-wearing and has now taken aim at vaccines. In a recent tweet, she claimed that vaccines are killing people, writing, “These Biden mandates are murdering these people.”

After #FireGinaCarano trended on social media several times, Lucasfilm finally took notice and dropped Carano and the new show that she was supposed to star in. The show was rumored to be called "Rangers of the New Republic" and her character of Cara Dune was allegedly set to play the lead role.

Why Is Her Movie Postponed?

Although she was also dropped by UTA as a client, she quickly secured a partnership with Ben Shapiro's conservative media company, "The Daily Wire."

After she teased her first big film with the controversial company, it was recently announced that the film was being postponed for the same reason she got fired from her last project: vaccines.

According to a recent statement: "With the precariousness of the current Hollywood landscape and the remarkable overreach by its ruling class, we made the tough, but prudent choice to ride further out into the wild west to make movies on our own terms."

Co-CEO JeremyBoreing insisted that they will not comply with the federal mandate requiring companies with over a hundred employees to be vaccinated.

“The Daily Wire does have more than 100 employees but we won’t be enforcing Joe Biden’s unconstitutional and tyrannical vaccine mandate," he stated. "That’s it. We’ll use every tool at our disposal, including legal action, to resist.”

Possible 'Star Wars' Return

Even though the Internet is swirling with rumors that Carano will return for what many believe will be the fourth and final season of “The Mandalorian,” it seems doubtful that she will make another appearance in a galaxy far, far away.

"The Mandalorian" co-star Giancarlo Esposito had some harsh words for anti-vaxxers, telling them to stay out of the industry.

In a recent interview, Esposito said, “If you don’t want to vaccinate, go to a small island and sequester yourself. [Otherwise] you’re saying ‘F—k you to all of you other human beings.’ We all have to do it if we want to live. I don’t understand how people don’t vaccinate.”

He continued, “The vaccine is the answer. I’m not downing anyone who doesn’t want to vaccinate. Don’t work. Go ride it out somewhere where you’re not going to compromise anyone else if you get it.”

Season 3 of “The Mandalorian” will return in 2022. Its sister series, “The Book of Boba Fett” will debut its first season on December 29, 2021.
