”Dune” is a sci-fi fantasy epic set on faraway planets in the far future that matches “The Lord of the Rings” or “Game of Thrones.”
“Dune” was turned into a film in 1984 and a miniseries in 2000, inspired by Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same title. A new rendition, starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Josh Brolin, Oscar Isaac, and others, will be released in October.

What Does The Storyline Look Like?
Admirers of the “Dune” novels and the 1984 version are eager to see how filmmaker Denis Villeneuve adapts this classic narrative in his next picture. While “Dune” isn’t a perfect plot, there are a few reasons why you shouldn’t pass up this speechless and captivating epic.

The Atreides family is the rulers of Caladan, an oceanic world, and “Dune” starts with the Emperor ordering the Atreides family to move to Arrakis, a dangerous desert planet.
When Leto and his family arrive on Arrakis, they take over the mining of melange, or “spice,” an unique mineral that Two tough fighters who aid Leto’s son Paul (Chalamet) in battle training, Gurney Hallack (Brolin) and Duncan Idaho (Momoa), join the Atreides on Arrakis.
The Atreides family, unfortunately, is abandoned by one of their own soon after their arrival on Arrakis, leaving Paul and his mother, the Bene Gesserit witch Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), to battle for themselves.
Wait, There’s More
Jessica and Paul eventually come into interaction with the Fremen, a race of Arrakis natives. Paul learns more about his ancestry and psychic abilities, as well as meeting Chani, a Fremen woman, who is his soul match (Zendaya.)
The remaining members of the Atreides family soon join forces with the Fremen to retake Arrakis and exact vengeance on their forefathers.

It’s difficult to grasp the planets, cultures, and people of ‘Dune,’ but it’s essentially a coming-of-age story.
Unique Destinations And Names
Individual and location names in “Dune,” like any sci-fi story, might be difficult to remember. For example, the Kwisatz Haderach, Bene Genneserits, gom jabbars, and Arrakis. The Harkonnens, House Atreides, and their foe, the Padishah Emperor Shaddam, are all embroiled in tangled galactic politics.
However, “Dune” is mostly a coming-of-age story about Paul, Duke Leto’s young son, who is forced to fight for his and his family’s lives following a devastating treachery on Arrakis.
Coming Of Age Story
Throughout the course of “Dune,” Paul grows from a naive young aristocrat to the all-powerful Kwisatz Haderach — the Bene Gesserit sisterhood’s rescuer who is claimed to see both the past and the future.
He meets Chani, his companion, along the road, and becomes into a capable soldier and combatant, plotting revenge against the Harkonnens.

When the sci-fi aspects are removed, “Dune” becomes a standard coming-of-age story set on a distant future Earth.
With an exciting and relatable story, a star-studded cast, and an exquisite environment, “Dune” will surely be a must-see movie. While the premise has flaws and the depiction may be enhanced, the trailer for “Dune” shows that it will be a once-in-a-generation film.
