There's been a major transition period for the British royal family over the past couple weeks after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step down as senior royals and become financially independent.

Now it seems there may be an effort underway to remove them from the official royal collection of souvenirs that fans can purchase.

The Daily Mail reports that as recently as Thursday plates, mugs, and other items commemorating their wedding were still available for sale online. Now, everything is gone.

“Many of Royal Collection Trust’s china ranges are produced to celebrate a specific occasion and are sold for a limited time,” a spokesperson for the Royal Collection explained to the Evening Standard. “The china range to celebrate the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has sold out.

From PopCulture, it's awfully curious that only Prince Harry and Markle's collection has disappeared:

Us Weekly reported that Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding collection no longer appears on the site either. Interestingly enough, Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's collection still appears on the site. Harry's cousin and her husband wed in 2018, the same year as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Although, it should be noted that their wedding took place months after Harry and Markle's May 2018 affair.

It was pretty clear that the royal family wasn't thrilled with Prince Harry and Markle's decision a couple weeks ago. Since their announcement, the two have been spending time in Canada where they intend to live half the year.

Shortly after the decision went public, the Queen issued a statement:

Following many months of conversations and more recent discussions, I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family.

Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family.

I recognise the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life.

I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond, and am particularly proud of how Meghan has so quickly become one of the family.

It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life.

There was also a statement from Buckingham Palace outlining their new roles:

With The Queen’s blessing, the Sussexes will continue to maintain their private patronages and associations. While they can no longer formally represent The Queen, the Sussexes have made clear that everything they do will continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty.

The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shared their wish to repay Sovereign Grant expenditure for the refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage, which will remain their UK family home.

Buckingham Palace does not comment on the details of security arrangements. There are well established independent processes to determine the need for publicly-funded security.
