Who Is Richer Between Travis Barker's Ex, Shanna Moakler, and Fiancée Kourtney Kardashian?

The announcement of reality television star Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's engagement caused quite a stir online. With an enormous $1 million ring, the Blink 182 drummer popped the question to Kourtney on Sunday at the Rosewood Miramar Hotel in Montecito, California.

Kourtney shared photos of the beautiful proposal on Instagram with 'Forever' as the caption. They'd been friends for years and started dating in January. This is reportedly Kourtney's first and Travis' third marriage.

Family members and well-wishers wasted no time in expressing their joy on social media. Other personalities like Shanna Moakler, Barker's ex-wife, also took to Instagram to share cryptic posts that couldn't necessarily be interpreted as good wishes.

Shanna Moakler is a model, an actress, and a reality TV star. She won the Miss New York USA Pageant in 1995 and was a runner-up at the Miss Universe pageant in the same year.

Then, she was chosen as Playmate Of The Month for Playboy magazine in December 2001.

Moakler branched into acting, and in 2005, her reality television series "Meet The Barkers" was aired. It starred her and her ex-husband Travis Barker and was aired for two seasons on MTV. After this, the former Miss USA went on to star in several films.

Moakler met and married Barker in October 2004. They had two children together before their marriage came to a messy public end in 2008. Barker and Moakler's relationship was described as toxic, so it was no shock when it ended with the same energy.

Numerous attempts were made to fix the marriage over the years, but it just didn't work out, and Moalker's alleged aggressiveness towards women Barker dated didn't help things.

There have been many speculations concerning why they divorced, one of them made by Monica herself.

Although Moakler and Barker went their separate ways after their divorce in 2008, this doesn't mean the former wasn't keeping an eye on the latter. Following the Instagram posts on May 15, where she accused Barker of being in an affair with Kim while married to her, the drama has only intensified since.

During an exclusive statement to In Touch Weekly magazine on May 18, Moakler shared how she felt about the relationship.

"I don't have any feelings towards either one of them," she said. "I'm not jealous of them. I don't think about them. I don't care about them." She also added, "If they want to run off into the sunset, like by all means, but you know, don't alienate my children in the process."

Although Moakler is yet to put a lid on publicly commenting on the situation, Barker, Kourtney, and Kim have no problem keeping it quiet.

When Kourtney and Barker's relationship became public knowledge early this year, Moakler described it as "weird," claiming that the Blink 182 drummer was secretly involved with Kim Kardashian just years before.

According to US Weekly, she said, "He had already had an affair with Paris Hilton. And at the time, Kim was Paris' closet organizer; they were best friends. And he started using [Kim] as a model for [his clothing company], Famous Stars and Straps," Moakler claimed, "We were working on our marriage and trying to heal through that affair, that infidelity, [but] he continued to work with her. He is dating her sister now, so I think that would be really weird." This claim is one that Kim and Barker have since denied.

When the news of the engagement broke out, Moakler went on Instagram to post, "Temporarily closed for spiritual maintenance." In another post, she wrote, "Before you ask why someone hates you, ask yourself why you give a f**k."

Moakler began modeling when she was 15, and ever since, she appeared in publications like Cosmopolitan and Playboy. After "Meet the Barkers," Shanna has acted in numerous shows and TV programs.

The former Miss USA has at least 25 acting credits to her name and appeared in 44 episodes of "Pacific Blue," the television series.

As of 2021, per Celebrity Net Worth, Moakler has an estimated value of about $15 million. She is also four years older than Kourtney Kardashian, who is 42 years old.

However, Moakler doesn't have the same reach as Kourtney's $65 million does in terms of money. Her massive earnings come from multiple products endorsements, Poosh, her lifestyle website, and of course, the years she spent on the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" series.
