After the Cupcake left the “The Masked Singer” stage last week, last night’s episode witnessed the unmasking of the Hamster, who had what some fans are calling the cutest costume in “TMS” history.

After the Queen of Hearts performed a song in French last week, the Hamster decided to perform a love song in Spanish, Luis Miguel’s “Sabor A Mí,” which he dedicated to his wife. However, it was not enough to save him from being put up for elimination.

All of the judges knew that the Hamster was some sort of comedian, but only one of them guessed correctly.

Final Guesses

Robin Thicke’s first impression guess was Cheech Martin, and he decided to stay with that guess.

Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg had first put down Andy Richteror “Seinfeld” star Jason Alexander. She changed her mind completely to choose Rob Schneider.

Ken Jeong first thought that it was Bill Murray before changing his guess to Will Ferrell.

Nicole Scherzinger had also put down Alexander as her first guess but switched it to Gabriel Iglesias.

Guest panelist Leslie Jordan also supported Scherzinger’s guess of Iglesias.

However, when the mask was removed by host Nick Cannon, the Hamster was revealed to be none other than Emmy-nominated “Saturday Night Live” alum Rob Schneider, 57, proving Jenny’s guess correct.

A Few Regrets

In a post-unmasking interview, the actor and comedian revealed that fans are going to be sorry that he was selected for elimination this week. The song he was planning on singing next was Weird Al Yankovic’s parody tune, “Amish Paradise,” which is a parody of Coolio’s “Gangsta Paradise.”

Watching Rob Schneider singing “Amish Paradise” in a giant hamster costume? “That would have blown up the internet,” Schneider says.

Another regret he has? His costume.

“I don't think that that's the best choice for a costume because you can't move in it,” he explained. “I think if I would have to do it all over again, I would have kept the hamster head and just gone with like a regular fur suit or something that would have been better.”

A Positive Experience

Even though the costume did not allow him to perform a lot of choreography on stage, he still had a great time.

“I'm very impressed with the show,” he continued. “I had a blast. I didn't have a good time, I had a great time. And it really is a great crew, and they're all having fun. It is really like a 1950s or 1970s TV show where it's pure silly and fun and it is infectious and beautiful.”

He added, “They [the costume team] really, really take the best care of you and they really want you to have a good time, and it's the number one show on TV for a reason. They were great at it. The producers could not have been nicer and more helpful and they ensure that you're having a good time, so I really can't thank them enough. I wish the rest of the show business was run like ‘The Masked Singer.’”

Although he wished he could have stayed on longer, he admitted that performing on the “TMS” stage “put him in a good place.”

When asked what he will take away from his experience, Schneider revealed, “Never put on a Hamster outfit ever again, ever. I did it once. And just to say yes to more things, because I really did have a good time and I wasn’t sure I was going to do it. So because of that experience, I said yes to doing this new movie I’m going to start pretty soon. I’ll start saying yes to stuff. It put me in a good place, so I’m very, very happy with them.”

“The Masked Singer” airs Wednesday nights on Fox.
