Cardi B Has Fan Girl Moment With Penn Badgley On Twitter

Even Cardi B gushes fangirl-like sometimes, especially when it comes to "Gossip Girl" alum, Penn Badgley. And it all happened because Badgley mentioned in her a conversation about social media, in an interview about his character on Netflix's "You".

Now while Badgley is not playing the hero as Joe Goldberg, Cardi B is certainly idolizing the moment he mentioned her and made her "famous".

Badgley was at an event, Netflix's "In Conversation With YOU" to promote the series, and was speaking about social media in general.

He first spoke about his character, Joe Goldberg, saying, "I think Joe reveals the unsettling logic that a lot of us are following in the worst way socially. But I think in the best way, it is a tool and there's nothing inherently wrong with that tool at all." In the Netflix series, Goldberg uses social media to stalk his obsession. He uses it to advance his case further with the person he loves.

But in real life, Badgley feels he's not so great with social media.

Badgley continued to say that, unlike Goldberg, "when I try to do something on social media, it's pathetic."

He then went on to praise others, like Card B, saying, "I really appreciate people who have this totally second-nature relationship to it, because that's when you have something meaningful and substantive to post, then I think it really comes through and people appreciate it all the more. Cardi B is a great example of that. She has such an authentic relationship. To me, it's this incredibly nuanced place to be, and despite what many might judge as antics, I feel she has an incredibly authentic relationship with that, and I think that's why people like her so much."

One of Badgley's fans then posted the video on Twitter, saying, "Penn Badgley aka Joe Goldberg of #YOUSEASON3 is a Cardi B stan. Never forget."

And Cardi B reacted to it with fan-girl awe.

Cardi B, all of 29, with WAP trending internationally, decided to gush over the mention. She reposted the tweet with the sweetest reaction and felt that she was "famous famous" because Badgley knew her.

Fans gushed over her reaction, and Badgley's mention as well, although one gave her a reality check as well, saying, "or you know the 112 Million People that follow you on Instagram..."

Of course, Badgley was not to be outdone as well. He too reacted to Cardi B's tweet, although, unlike the Bardi Queen who gushed, Badgley was left speechless.

As one Twitter user pointed out, it's good that this was Cardi B fangirling over Badgley, because had it been Goldberg, the reaction might have been different. Like, "Joe be like, hmm you quoted a tweet…not just any tweet but MY tweet. with all these people tweeting tonight, you quoted MINE while scrolling through the TL. What was it that intrigued you? I need to know more. I need to know what you’re thinking. I need to know YOU."
