The Victory Lap Continues With Nipsey Hussle Being Honored At The Grammy's

If you’re from the West Coast or just love hip-hop music you know the name Nipsey Hussle. You know his sound, voice and his major involvement in his community making him a go to activist.

Victory Lap was the rappers first major-label debut album in 2018. It was heating up the charts so much so that it earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. Taking Hussle straight to mainstream showing that he is a force to be reckoned with.

But when news hit on March 31, 2019 that the South LA native was shot and killed at the plaza he owned. It shook not only the neighborhood but the hip-hop community as a whole.

So it comes at no surprise when the community, award shows and celebs like Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson decides to honor the late rapper. Jackson pimped out his 2020 Rolls-Royce Cullian honoring Nipsey in a way that is super creative, undeniable, and decked out.

interior and rims all in Nipsey Blue. With custom lights of Nipsey’s face and Jackson’s personal logo. Jackson clearly knows how to honor a friend.

The Marathon Clothing owner will also be honored this Sunday at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. After scoring 3 posthumous nominations for Best Rap Song, Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Performance.

He will also receive an special tribute from fellow musicians such as John Legend, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, Kirk Franklin, Roddy Ricch and YG who are all performing.

“There is no denying the influence he had, and his legacy will be felt for generations to come. We are honored to bring together this amazing group of artists to celebrate Nipsey’s life and pay tribute to his many contributions to music. It’s sure to be a memorable performance.”

Ehrlich is right, as Nipsey has been honored all year by so many celebrities. From his partner Lauren London recreating their legendary GQ photoshoot and having his sister read a self written poem in her new Puma Campaign. To DJ Khaled donating the proceeds of the duo’s song together to the late rappers children, Emani and Cross.

Nipsey touched so many lives, in so many ways and for so many people. He wasn’t just a person he was a leader for the community and hip-hop. So live on in paradise king.
