Vicki Gunvalson calls herself “the OG of the OC.” And, it’s true after all! She starred in the first episode of the reality show franchise when it premiered 15 years ago. This is why it’s safe to say that fans were devastated to find out her full-time cast member role was demoted to just a ‘friend’ while filming season 14 in 2019. Of course, that didn’t stop Vicki from bringing the drama when she was on camera. In fact, she may have brought too much.
In case you didn’t tune into season 14, Vicki and her “Tres Amigas” crew, Tamra Judge and Shannon Beador, all caused drama with their co-star, Kelly Dodd. From revealing a rumor that she’s done a train, to getting paid to sleep with men, and even getting in a bar fight. The ladies brought up stories that didn’t have to be confirmed or denied because they were only being discussed off camera…until the ladies brought it up. Because Vicki and Kelly’s relationship was already suffering from past drama, filming the show only made things worst.
Well, after spending two seasons bringing up Dodd’s alleged misbehaviors on camera, rumors began swirling that the OG of the OC was not returning. Of course, what would The Real Housewives of Orange County be without Vicki Gunvalson? Showbiz Cheatsheet reports that despite there are rumors of retirement, and even a comment from Vicki telling a fan, “pretty soon,” she isn’t going anywhere. While chatting with Champion Daily about her status as a housewife, Gunvalson said: “nothing has been decided and any other reports being put out there to the contrary are false reporting and creating a false narrative.”
Why is anyone believing Radar Online? No contracts have even gone out.

Producer of the Housewife franchise, Andy Cohen, sort of set the record straight in a tweet, telling anti-Vicki fans that “no contracts have even gone out.”
It sounds like the status of Gunvalson and maybe a few other OC stars are up in the air. Another housewife has had to set the record straight on if she will return for another season as well. Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Nene Leakes, was outed on Wednesday, by talk show host, Wendy Williams, when she told her audience that Nene sent her a text saying she’s quitting the show.
Private conversations should be left in private! What are girlfriends for if you can’t vent to them on those type of days

Leakes quickly released a statement via Twitter, slamming Williams for releasing information that was told in confidence. So, is Nene leaving RHOA or not. If you’re watching the current season of the show, you’ll notice that she’s basically been demoted to a ‘friend’ like Vicki Gunvalson, only making appearances in a few episodes. Have the OGs of the OC and ATL really rubbed their cast members the wrong way that it will affect their future on the show?
I guess we’ll find out next season.
