Drudge is actually considered to be the reporter who broke the story to the general public. Despite frequently being accused of sensationalism and exaggeration, Drudge revealed that Newsweek had an unpublished story about Clinton's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky. Production of the Impeachment installment of American Crime Story has been delayed. The second season of this anthology series was originally meant to premiere later this year in September, but FX network chairman, John Landgraf, earlier stated the series has been put on hold until after November. The exec noted the show may not actually debut until next year.

Landgraf said showrunner Murphy is too busy with his other series, which include Pose and The Politician, preventing him from starting production on American Crime Story until at least March.
