Juice died on December 8th shortly after his plane landed at Chicago's Midway airport. Reports state that the rapper suffered from a seizure brought on by the overdose and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

During the investigation, officers were joined by the “gang investigation federal task force." They were reportedly looking for drug paraphernalia and weapons on the "Lucid Dreams" rapper's plane.

The initial medical autopsy was ruled inconclusive so a cardiac pathology, neuropathology, toxicology and histology were all ordered.

Fans of the late rapper were devastated to hear the news. One fan wrote, "Juice Wrld did have potential in the field of R&B. Not a lot of people liked Post Malone's first hit (White Iverson) either, and fast forward to this year, I and most people liked/loved all of his hits. He could've had success on that level, at least. Such a shame. #RIPJuice"

Another fan wrote, "Favorite performance at Rolling Loud Bay Area was Juice Wrld’s hands down. He brought a different type of energy with him on stage and EVERYBODY was vibing to him. RIP to this Legend ❤️"

Juice's last studio album was met with mixed reviews from critics, but many saw the potential. New Music Express's review stated, "Juice WRLD is far less indulgent than XXX, not getting lost in the idea that he’s a messianic creative. This will be the moment that solidifies his status as one of rap’s most exciting new stars."

HipHopDX's review stated, "Genre-blending albums (no matter how commonplace they might be these days) are not easy to pull off and for that, Juice WRLD should be given credit. From the seemingly sincere lyrics to the equally candid delivery, Juice truly goes with his gut in whichever way (rap, sing, hum, sob)."

What will happen next in the Hip Hop world is unknown. Young artists like Juice WRLD, Mac Miller, and Lil Peep are passing away at an alarming rate. Will there be intervention from record labels? Will there be a turn away from that culture for the young stars?

All that can be said is that tragic losses to the music world like Juice WRLD's passing hit fans hard. What is left is their memory and the music that was left behind.
