There’s been a MASSIVE BREAK in the manhunt for missing person of interest, Brian Laundrie.

The former fiancé of the late Gabby Petito has been missing since September. He is the only person of interest in the death of  Petito after the couple were on a cross country national parks trip.

According to NBC New York, Laundrie’s belongings were found by his own parents, who have been highly uncooperative throughout the entire investigation.

On Wednesday, October 20, the outlet reported “items belonging to Brian Laundrie were found by his own parents on a trail he frequented at the Florida environmental park center to the national manhunt, the family's attorney confirmed.”

The items were found after a “brief search.”

The family’s lawyer, Steven Bertolino did not specify what was found at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park. This environmental park just to happens to connect with the Carlton Reserve where the FBI and law enforcement initially started their search for Laundrie.

The Park had been closed for the past month to assist the FBI in their search for Laundrie, and re-opened up to the public on Tuesday, October 19.

NBC affiliate WFLA reported a "large police presence" at the park on Wednesday morning.

Chris and Roberta Laundrie informed the FBI and North Port Police Tuesday night that they planned to go to the environmental park, the same location where the family's silver Mustang was abandoned in mid-September, according to Bertolino.

TMZ reported that the medical examiner was on the way to the location.

The Blast previously reported on the Petito’s cause of death. Earlier this month the Teton County Coroner’s office held a press conference to reveal the cause of death. Dr. Brent Blue concluded the cause of death was “death by strangulation and manner is homicide.”

Dr. Blue added that her body had been out in the elements for about three to four weeks prior to being found.
