Ruby Rose is done keeping quiet about the injustice she allegedly suffered while starring as the lead of the “Batwoman” series.
The Australian took to social media to explain the incidents that propelled her to leave the CW show and revealed disturbing allegations about her set life.
This comes a year and a half after Rose hung her cape as a CW heroine, in May 2020, after one season. She left despite pleas from fans to make a series comeback.
Enough Is Enough!
On October 20, Rose shared details of her experience on the set of CW’s show “Batwoman” via her Instagram Story.
The actress started by calling out former CEO of Warner Bros. TV, Peter Roth, for telling young women to steam his pants around his privates.
Rose claimed Roth tailed her with a private investigator, and then she uploaded X-ray videos of her injuries which executives on set allegedly ignored.
The stuntwoman claimed she suffered a broken neck, broken rib split in two, and a tumor.
Rose also claimed she had to work 10 days after a spinal operation in 2019; otherwise, the entire cast would be fired, and Roth said she’d lose the studio millions.
A Traumatizing Experience For Employees
According to HollywoodLife, Rose said others suffered from unjust work conditions. She explained that a crew member received third-degree burns, and nobody was offered therapy after witnessing his face fall off.
The 35-year-old was the only person to send him flowers and cards. She was then told she had to film an intimate scene without time to process it.
The show also lost two stunt doubles, and Rose claimed she was cut very close to her eye and could have been blinded during a stunt.
Showrunner Caroline Dries allegedly tried to force the cast and crew to film during the coronavirus pandemic.
Dries told Rose to comply with the PI despite knowing her injuries happened on set then lied that they occurred during Yoga.
A woman allegedly developed quadriplegia, and execs tied the blame to her being on the phone. Rose said they shut down the shooting the next day only because the government pulled it.
Rose called out co-star Dougray Scott for hurting a female stunt double and being a nightmare that left and arrived at will.
The model alleged that Scott also abused women, and when she asked for a no yelling policy on set, her request was denied.
Her Life-Threatening Injury
In July, The Blast reported that Rose was hospitalized following severe complications from a recent minor surgery.
The actress described the incident in a heartbreaking Instagram video, explaining she was forced to call 911 alone and the paramedics barely found a hospital to admit her.
Rose got her treatment eventually and thanked the health care workers for their “amazing work.”
