Demi Lovato is notoriously the comeback queen. Despite all of the setbacks she has faced, she is back yet again and is ready to take the world on by storm. Lovato went to rehab after a near-death overdose she experienced in July 2018. Since then, Lovato has worked hard to get her career back on track. She will be playing a guest role in 'Will & Grace' as well as singing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and performing at the Grammys.

A source revealed to [HollywoodLife] (https://hollywoodlife.com/2020/01/22/demi-lovato-comeback-grammys-return/) that Lovato is certainly nervous for her Grammy performance, but the source is confident that Lovato will still kill it.

The source explained that Lovato “is a total pro so she knows what it takes to prepare for a big performance like this” in reference to the Grammy Awards performance.

“Even though it’s been a while since she’s performed live, for her, it’s like riding a bike,” the source continued hinting that Lovato will have no problem getting back at it.

The source explains that Lovato is so nervous only because, “she wants it to be perfect." However, ultimately, "she’s so excited and she can’t wait to show the world what she has in store.”

Lovato is excited to return to doing what she loves "in a building with her peers, so she is more than ready for the night to have one of the best performances of the night,” the source added. However, Lovato is more tentative about performing at the Super Bowl.

Lovato sees the Grammys as a supportive environment surrounded by fellow performers and also will be performing her own songs. The National Anthem is an extremely vocally challenging song and the spotlight will be entirely on her.

Lovato is "ready for the Grammys and really looking forward to killing it,” the source mentioned. “[The Grammys are] actually taking her away from what she is actually nervous about and that is doing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. The anxiety and nerves are all directed on that performance."

Lovato has struggled with mental illness and drug addiction for the majority of her career. The first time she went to rehab for drug abuse, self harm and bullemia was in 2010. She returned to rehab soon after in 2012. She then had a good streak leading a life of sobriety for six years. She slipped once again in 2018 after dismissing her sobriety coach and going on a bender with friends in July causing her to overdose nearly dying.
