Elizabeth Hurley is not succumbing to the pressures of #MondayMotivation and is taking time to reflect on the more quiet moments in life rather than wasting time pumping iron. The “Bedazzled” went on Instagram and shared one of the biggest internal struggles people face, especially around the time of the new year — to exercise, or not?
Not only did Hurley reveal which side of the argument she’s on, but she did it in a classy way by dropping invoking a quote from one of the greatest poets in history.
The 54-year-old star was seen laying back on a sofa while wearing a silver shimmering low-cut dress. While giving her hair a tussle, Hurley captioned her sultry photo “Exercise or have a lie down? I’m with Oscar Wilde.”
Of course, Wilde’s famous quote on exercise was:
“If I could get back my youth, I’d do anything in the world except get up early, take exercise or be respectable.”
The line was made famous in Wilde’s classic, “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” originally published in the 1890s.
Funny Hurley should reference “The Picture of Dorian Gray,” as many believe she has found the Fountain of Youth in many of the bikini pictures she shares. Hurley can usually be seen flaunting her curves in tiny swimwear for her line, Elizabeth Hurley Beach.
Fans agreed her most recent photo was “stunning” and told Hurley, “You age with beauty so do whatever lol.”
Another fan thought, “You look like a mermaid in a Valentino ad,” while a third person told her not to worry about exercise because people “burn calories sleeping too.”
In one shot, Hurly is seen grabbing the golden post of her bed while giving the camera a sultry stare. The tiny dress barely left her Instagram appropriate but still showed off all her curves. In the second pose, Hurley is seen laying back on the bed and striking a smile.
Fans were definitely feeling her look, and left some accolades in the comments of her post. “Always!! ?? also, GORGEOUS!” one fan wrote. “Always a winner!” another person added.
