Sources recently gave an update on how The Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth is doing following his sudden breakup with ex-wife Miley Cyrus last year. Hemsworth kept a low profile at first but was eventually rumored — and later confirmed — to be dating model Gabriella Brooks.
Reports say Hemsworth is doing very well and is enjoying his time with Brooks. The couple reportedly do not want to put a label on their relationship, yet, but are very happy and comfortable spending time together.
Cyrus got back into the dating game much faster than Hemsworth. The Don’t Call Me Angel singer was first linked to best friend Kaitlynn Carter during their Italy vacation. The couple was spotted kissing before her split with Hemsworth was officially announced.
The Black Mirror actor soon broke things off with Carter and took up a romance with musician Cody Simpson. Sources have said Cyrus and Simpson are very happy together and that Simpson has been very supportive of his girlfriend through all this.
The breakup has been rumored to be difficult for both partners and each seem to be dealing with it in their own ways. Hemsworth seemed to keep to himself and spoke very little about the divorce, while Cyrus has frequently published social media posts and comments that seem to allude to the split.
Sources also say Cyrus is making sure to really focus on self-care in order to allow herself to mentally and emotionally heal. Yoga is said to be a key to this strategy.
New reports now reveal another method Cyrus is using to move forward with her life: She is avoiding any and all updates on Hemsworth is doing.
According to an anonymous source, Cyrus does not check in on what Hemsworth is up to and does not ask mutual friends about his new relationship in order to prevent any awkwardness or uncomfortable feelings for those involved. The source noted the breakup was hard not just on the couple, but thier mutual friends, as well.
Cyrus is also using music as a way to cope with her recent divorce. The singer was sidelined by vocal chord surgery following a bout of tonsillitis late last year and was happy to get back to work in the studio.
The 27-year-old singer teased new music coming out later this year and has previously hinted at a couple of collaborations with Mark Ronson and Andrew Watt. Her latest big tease has fans wondering if the former Hannah Montana star will be pairing up for a collab with fellow Disney stars The Jonas Brothers.
