Karl-Anthony Towns is singing his girlfriend’s praises.

The NBA star has been dating Jordyn Woods since last September and the two couldn’t be more in love.

Since going Instagram official, the couple has shared an up close and personal look at their life together.

The baller recently sat down with Taraji P. Henson on Facebook Watch’s “Peace of Mind with Taraji.”

Towns spoke candidly about his girlfriend and how she has changed his outlook for the better.

The two share a rather tragic bond being that they've both lost a parent.

Jordyn lost her father, John Woods, to cancer in January of 2017, and Towns lost his mother to Covid-19 in April 2020.

This bond has allowed their relationship to really blossom and for them to vulnerable with one another.

“I feel, like, in a way, when my mom passed, she said, ‘I’m not going to leave you alone. I’ma make sure you know who you’re supposed to be with,'” Towns revealed.

He continued to praise Jordyn saying, “I leaned on her because she’s one of the only people who actually know how I was feeling and what I was going through because she was super close with her father just like I was super close with my mother.”

Sadly, Towns didn’t only lose his mother to Covid, he lost seven other family members to the virus.

The Timberwolves player admitted that Jordyn came into his life at the perfect time.

“A woman that meant so much to me in my life left my life to be replaced by another woman to take that spot,” Towns said.

Since his mother’s death, the NBA player hasn’t been to therapy because he “hasn’t been ready to talk” and doesn’t want to just “sit there.”

“I could bulls*** my way through anything,” the baller said. “If I go in there, I gotta be ready to talk.”

This willingness to let his guard down and open up is something Jordyn has been helping do.

“It was not until with Jordyn that I learned the most important lesson … the male ego is the most sensitive and most dangerous thing the world has to offer,” he said.

Towns has also helped Jordyn through some very difficult times as well.

Earlier this year, the model came under fire on social media while promoting her new fitness app.

Many social media users called her out for getting cosmetic surgery done and not actually putting in time at the gym.

Towns wasn’t about to let any trolls get away with their words.

He took to his Twitter account writing, "Are we saying that women can't work hard and transform their bodies?? I've SEEN the hard work and I've seen the results and trust me, this is all natural."

The Timberwolves player continued, "Since she was 10 years old, people been calling this woman vile things because of her weight and instead of letting the Internet run her life, she went out to put the damn work in and changed her whole life. FITNESS SAVED HER LIFE!"
