Jamie Lynn Spears is on the receiving end of backlash as her new book seems to be making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
As you might know, last week, Lynn Spears announced her new memoir titled “Things I Should Have Said” amid her sister Britney Spears’ conservatorship trial, drawing all the attention to herself.
During the announcement, the “Zoey 101” star promised to give part of the book’s proceedings to the non-profit organization, This Is My Brave, to aid in their cause of mental health advancement.
However, many were shocked when the organization publicly announced that they would not be accepting any donations from Lynn Spears’ new book.
What Went Down?
As The Blast previously reported, the organization announced its decision through a social media post, writing, “we heard you. We’re taking action,” before apologizing to anyone offended by their rejection.
This Is My Brave didn’t go into details about their decision in their statement, resulting in numerous speculations as to why. However, rumors suggest that the mental health organization has no intention of getting embroiled in the drama between the Spears sisters.
Amid Britney’s conservatorship case, it was believed that Lynn Spears did little to nothing to support her sister and was on their dad, Jamie Spears’ side through it all.
The “Toxic” crooner has subtly called out her sister several times for not having her back and trying to profit off her situation.
An evident example was Lynn Spears’ initial choice of title for her book, “I Must Confess,” a famous line from her sister’s hit song, “…Baby One More Time,” which she changed after backlash from fans.
Fans Are Loving The Chaos!
Following the announcement from This Is My Brave, the legion of Britney’s fans have taken to Twitter to drag Lynn Spears by her edges and more!

One fan teased, “She was gonna donate Britney money that she stole anyway,” while another wrote, “Ahahha! This is My Brave organization to Jamie Lynn Spears: “Thank you but no”#FreeBritney.”
Some described Lynn Spears as narcissistic, just like her father, with one user writing in response to This Is My Brave’s statement:
Thank you for helping hold Jamie Lynn accountable instead of allowing her to use you as a shield against accountability. Like Britney said when she bravely spoke up against her abusers: ‘I want to sue my family’. I’ll be donating.
