Jamie Lynn Spears had plans to donate part of the proceedings from her upcoming memoir to charity. If she still plans to do that though she’s going to need to start looking for a new non-profit organization that will actually take her money! The non-profit organization that Jamie Lynn Spears wanted to work with has publically announced that they are not interested in taking money from the Zoey 101 star. From the looks of things the organization, This Is My Brave, did not want to be put in the middle of the Spears family drama!
Why They Are Declining The Money
There’s a lot of hearsay surrounding the situation. Pretty much the reason why people are beginning to speculate over the real reason that the organization doesn’t want to take Jamie Lynn’s money is that they didn’t give out a clear answer in the first place! Through an IG post, the organization declared that they would not be taking any money from Jamie Lynn. The headline on the post reads, “We heard you. We’re taking action”. Those two lines are the closest thing to the explanation of why they don’t want to take the money!

Was Jamie On Her Father’s Side Against Britney?
If you haven’t been following this story about the Spears’ family drama through Britney’s now-infamous conservatorship here’s the bit of info that essentially explains why a non-profit would refuse to take Jamie Lynn’s money. Long story short there’s been some beef between the sisters through this whole ordeal. Although Jamie Lynn has publically expressed her support for Britney the older sister seems to think that she was on her dad’s side this whole time. They Are Even Fighting Over The Name
It’s safe to say that the Spears sisters’ relationship has seen better days. As we mentioned, the bigger issue here is that Britney believes that her sister was “part of the problem” during her 13-year conservatorship. Even though she won the battle to end the conservatorship in court, Britney is now hinting that she could sue her family for “conservatorship abuse”. With Jamie Lynn being included in the lawsuit. The sisters even sparred over the name of Jamie Lynn‘s new book. She wanted to call it “I Must Confess”, but Britney wasn’t on board because she thought that was a rip-off of lyrics to her song, “Baby One More Time”.
Maybe It’s For The Best That They Aren’t Taking The Money
When she talked about releasing her own book Jamie Lynn also mentioned that she was a bit short on cash. Therefore, if she gets to keep some more of the proceedings it could help her out. Unless she was looking to donate part of the purse because she was looking for a tax break! At the time of writing for this article, there has been no official reaction from the Jamie Lynn Spears camp to the news that her donation won’t be accepted. Hopefully she gets some good legal advice before she makes her next move!
