Rebel Wilson has said goodbye to “Pitch Perfect’s” Fat Amy because she’s been hitting the gym hard and revealing the well-earned results to fans. The actress and her trainer shared some videos and photos from her most recent workout, and if Wilson is not taking her training sessions lightly. Being filmed from an elevated position, the star can be seen grabbing hold of some heavy ropes at a gym in Australia and swinging them way above her head before slamming them to the ground.
“My Friday is SLAMMING,” she captioned the video.
The “Cats” star has been working hard on her body transformation for the past year and is seeing great results. She appears to be adopting a healthier lifestyle, and along with diet and exercise is doing small things like taking a “midnight stroll” around her hometown in Australia.
It’s all part of her bigger plan for personal and professional growth as Wilson recently reflected on the last decade of success she experienced and thanked her support system of fans and friends for sticking with her along the way.
“Guys, exactly this time last decade I was taking a huge risk and moved to Hollywood with just one suitcase and a doona in my hand. I couldn’t be prouder of all the films, TV shows and live performances I’ve done since then and all the wonderful people I’ve met along the journey who have helped and supported me. I appreciate you all so much.”
Wilson’s trainer, Jono Castano, shared a photo of the two standing back to back and the star’s dramatic weight loss was extremely evident.
“Friday vibes but @rebelwilson has been putting in the yards 7 days a week! Proud of you gurl,” he captioned the photo.
Wilson, standing in workout pants and a loose fitting shirt, is beaming ear to ear after absolutely crushing another workout session. It’s clear the star is very happy with her results, which comes at a good time as her movie, “Jojo Rabbit,” is up for an Academy Award.
Rebel Wilson’s body transformation part of her focused attitude, which she continues to take into 2020. She recently posted about how she plans to view the new year, and it’s all about making healthy choices.
“Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called “The Year of Health” – so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”
Along with her own accomplishments, Rebel is taking some time to honor another special person in her life, her mother Sue Bownds, who had a career as a professional dog handler. The “Cats” star took her mom out for a day and night of fun, which included a performance of “Shrek the Musical” at the Sydney Lyric Theater.
“Happy Birthday Mum! ? We cruised, we ate, we musical’d! Thanks to John & Neviene, Chuuka, everyone at The Star and the kick ass cast of Shrek for making this day a super celebration x.”
