Lizzo is once again projecting her body-positive message to fans, this time with a beach photoshoot in Auckland, New Zealand. The musician shared a couple of photos from the shoot in which she's wearing a gold swimsuit.

She captioned the photos with a note for her followers: "I love you. You are beautiful. You can do anything. (Repeat)," Lizzo said.

"I love this! I’ve struggled so long with an eating disorder because I hated how my body looked because I thought I wasn’t thin enough. I love seeing you show you and your body so unapologetically letting the rest of the world know that there is more than one type of body and that they are all acceptable! Thank you! The world needs to see more of this diversity!" one fan replied to the post.

"This is more than my heart can handle. Too much awesomeness in two pics," another said.

"The realness!!!! Pure unadulterated beauty," a third commented.

The post comes on the heels of criticism about her weight from celebrity trainer Jillian Michaels.

"Why are we celebrating her body? Why does it matter? Why aren't we celebrating her music? 'Cause it isn't gonna be awesome if she gets diabetes," Michaels said on a Buzzfeed show recently. "I love her music. My kid loves her music. But there's never a moment where I'm like, 'And I'm so glad that she's overweight.'"

Michaels later tried to clarify her initial comments.

"As I've stated repeatedly, we are all beautiful, worthy and equally deserving," read the tweet. "I also feel strongly that we love ourselves enough to acknowledge there are serious health consequences that come with obesity," she wrote. "I would never wish these for ANYONE and I would hope we prioritize our health because we LOVE ourselves and our bodies."

And a few days after that, Michaels was once again talking about Lizzo's body.

"For decades I have said repeatedly that your weight and your size have no bearing or merit on your value, your beauty, your worth, your ability. Where it does have relevance is your health, and to pretend that it doesn't is not only irresponsible, it's dangerous, and it's just not a lie I'm willing to tell because it's politically correct," she said.

Lizzo hasn't directly addressed Michaels by name, but she did write a simple message on her Instagram Story last week: "If my name is your mouth...so is my pu--y, bitch. enjoy the flavor!"
