She’s one of the most successful singers of all time, and it appears Adele is now focusing on her health and wellness.
She recently divorced her husband Simon Konecki, and you could say the “Hello” singer has developed something of a revenge body.
Though some have been quick to criticize all the praise being thrown at her for the weight loss, claiming it’s “fat shaming,” there is no denying that the multi-Grammy winner looks stunning.
Obviously, those pictures of Adele frolicking on a Caribbean beach made a lot of women “ohh” and “ahhh,” because that polka-dot Reformation dress she was wearing has sold out, and now has a 1,600 person waiting list!
Clearly, this is the label she has chosen to show off her weight loss, as she also wore a dress from the brand during the Christmas holidays, which she posted pictures of to Instagram.
In wanting to show off her healthy new look, many assumed it was because she wanted a revenge body after her divorce. However, the singer’s reasons go a lot deeper than that.
Apparently, it was her 7 year old son Angelo who inspired Adele to get in shape. A source recently told People, “It’s easy to just focus on her physical transformation, but this is really about something bigger. She got to the point where she didn’t feel great. She knew she had to change something, because she wants to be the healthiest mom possible.”
Clearly that is the best possible route to take; focusing on the reasons for being healthy, rather than only looking at the scale.
The source continued, “Her whole focus during the weight loss journey has really how been all about how she can be healthier and how can she treat her body better. It was never about losing weight. Her weight loss happened because she has cut down drinking and is eating more real food. But she now loves her physical transformation too. She is more confident, dresses differently and she just seems happier overall.”
While Adele is looking completely different these days, many have wondered how exactly she managed to do it (especially as those New Year’s resolutions start to fade into obscurity.)
The “Rolling In The Deep” singer’s former personal trainer, Camila Goodis, has revealed what Adele did to lose about 100 pounds, and it’s all down to one simple thing: caloric intake.
On an episode of Lorrainne, Goodis said, “She’s working out but I think 90 per cent of it is diet.”
She continued, “It’s a good diet to shed the weight. The first week is intense, green juices and only 1,000 calories. She doesn’t look too thin – she looks amazing.”
Well, whatever Adele has done is working for her very well. As long as she is healthy and happy, that is what counts!
