Musician Josh Gracin, who rose to fame on "American Idol," welcome his first child with wife Katie on Monday. The couple made the announcement on Instagram and through PEOPLE Magazine. Luka Roman Gracin is Josh's fifth child -- he has four with his ex-wife.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome our son Luka Roman into the world,” Gracin told PEOPLE. “My amazing wife endured so much to make sure our little boy arrived healthy and happy! We are beyond blessed.”

On Instagram, Gracin shared a photo of the new baby and wrote, "Verified Luka has arrived! My wife @katiegracin and I are beyond blessed to welcome our baby boy into the world! Thank you @people for the exclusive!"

Beyond becoming a father again, 2020 should be a big year for Gracin professionally. He released a new single last year for his forthcoming album, which he talked to about.

“If you’ve listened to anything that I’ve recorded, it’s been all over the map," Gracin told "I mean, yes, it sounds like country and it sounds like me, but you can hear different genres in every single song and that’s one of the things that the record guys back in the day used to tell me, ‘Focus on the album and make it all from the same vein and find your niche.'"

“At this point in my career, if it went away tomorrow, I could say that I succeeded and that I did what I set out to do," Gracin continued. "So now it’s just making sure I get up on stage and make sure I give people who come to the show just an hour and a half or two hours of forgetting whatever their reality is. That’s my goal and that’s my job."

Wikipedia has more on Gracin's career thus far:

After his elimination from the show, Gracin completed his service in the Marine Corps, and after his honorable discharge, he signed a record deal with Lyric Street Records. His self-titled debut album was released in 2004. It produced a number one hit, "Nothin' to Lose", and two more top five hits on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks charts, and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America. His second album, We Weren't Crazy, followed in 2008. This album produced five more chart singles, including a top ten in its title track. After signing with Average Joe's in 2010 he released "Cover Girl."
