Carmen Electra Exposes Chest In Mesh Dress, Instagram Goes Wild

Carmen Electra drove her Instagram followers wild today. The Baywatch alum might not be the world's most trending face, but this 47-year-old's fans haven't gone anywhere.

Earlier today, Carmen updated her Instagram. The photo was a flesh-flaunting one, and it's been going down a storm with the actress' followers.

A high-fashion event had brought Carmen back into the spotlight. She was walking the runway for popular French designer Jean Paul Gaultier – also proving that see-through mesh clothing isn't just for the likes of Kylie Jenner.

If you've got kids around, you might want to keep them in another room. Carmen's photo wasn't sending out sexual body language, but it was flaunting the star's assets.

The photo showed Electra confidently marching the runway and dressed in black mesh clothing. She was rocking a knee-length and completely see-through dress with a vertical opaque panel running down the upper half – black bikini briefs protected the star's modesty down below.

Carmen paired her dress with high-heeled black boots. She walked with both arms above her head and holding a strip of black fabric.

A caption from Carmen confirmed what she had been up to.

"What a dream it was to close #jeanpaulgaultier," Carmen wrote.

Carmen's followers were all over this update, with likes and comments pouring in from the moment the update went live.

"Gorgeous Electra," one fan wrote.

"Haaaaaaaaawt," another said.

Age is just a number, right? Carmen's fans certainly seem to think so, with one user telling the star that she looks as great now as she did back in the day.

"Still as hot as ever," they wrote.

The update itself also quickly proved popular, racking up over 11,000 likes in one hour. Not bad for an Instagram account with 1 million followers.

Baywatch is now over 30 years old. While the show's iconic bombshell, Pamela Anderson, is arguably more famous, Carmen remains one of the TV series' iconic bombshells.

The actress recalled how she landed the gig.

“At the time I was with UTA [United Talent Agency] and they said: ‘Baywatch wants to interview you to be on the show. Pamela is leaving and they are hiring a new cast of women,'” Carmen said.

Electra was a cast member of Baywatch from 1997 to 1998, returning for the 2003 reunion movie.

Carmen's interview also saw her reflect on landing her role.

“I was so nervous. I had never acted in my life. I basically got the script and started," she said, adding:

"I walked into the audition and David Hasselhoff and everyone is sitting there. I’m just standing, nervously smiling, trying to do the best I can. The next question, ‘will you go put this red swimsuit on?’ I was in shock because at the time, I was shooting with MTV and I didn’t shave my legs.”

Carmen's Instagram does deliver the odd swimwear throwback. A particularly racy one saw the actress go nude at the end of December 2019.
