Vanessa Hudgens is back in the single ladies team as reports indicate that she has called it off after 9 years of dating Austin Butler. The once-promising former Disney star has certainly not had the type of career that her other ex Zac Efron has been able to carve out after their high school musical days. Yet, one thing that she had going in her favor was a very stable relationship alongside Butler. Which, is sadly said to be no more.
The rumor mill started up after a couple of social media posts surfaced where Vanessa was notably alone on multiple trips. When Butler was nowhere to be found at the former high school musical star’s birthday things really kicked into overdrive.
Although there has been no official announcement made by either side US Weekly has recently reported that sources close to the couple have confirmed the break-up. Specifically sources close to Vanessa who claim she has vented about the break-up to them.
Vanessa actually gave an interview to the UK’s version of Cosmopolitan that is set to feature her on the cover of its February 2020 edition. In which she talked about some of the details that have allowed her to keep her relationship afloat. Saying that they relied on face time calls to be able to keep in touch even when they were apart.
At times during their relationship, they would not see each other for months because of their work. It seems the facetime technique has run out of charm for these two.
Another detail that she is said to reveal in the article is that she still keeps the necklace given to her by her co-star and former boyfriend Zac Effron from their days on the High School Musical set. You know that the famous “T” necklace, that has become a bit of a cultural icon in itself over the years.
Does this mean that we could potentially see Zach and Vanessa hooking up once again? For those of you who where fans of the couple there is actually some hope!
Although her career may seem to fail in comparison to that of Zach Efron’s Hudgens actually keeps pretty busy. She is constantly doing work for movies, theater, and TV. She is set to appear in a TV special of the musical “RENT.”
Her most notable role coming up is going to be in the new Bad Boys movie alongside Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Where audiences are set to be treated to some good old fashioned movie nostalgia.
