It's been a dramatic couple of weeks for Meghan Markle. The Duchess of Sussex recently announced that she and Prince Harry would be stepping back from their duties as full-time royals in order to lead a more financially independent life.

Before she even met Prince Harry, though, Markle was fairly active across social media. She even started her own lifestyle blog called The Tig. When she joined the royal family, though, she had to give up her personal social media accounts.

That doesn't mean that Markle stopped having opinions about what goes on on social media, though. In fact, The Daily Mail has reported that the duchess has a particular fondness for one Instagram account in particular.

Apparently, her favorite account is the Good news Movement Instagram page, which is run by journalist Michelle Figueroa. The account focuses on kindness and goodness across the world. It seems like a perfect match for the couple's positive attitude, and their insistence on supporting and emphasizing charitable causes.

Since joining the royal family, Meghan has had to deal with a lot of changes to her own life. Those changes have to do with everything from how she deals with the press to how she spends her time.

Of course, one of the biggest changes came with the way that the royals approach and use social media. Although the monarchy is represented in places like Instagram, the accounts aren't exactly personal. You wouldn't follow them to get candid moments from anyone in the royal family.

According to Romper, this policy is in large part because the members of the royal family value their privacy. So while there is an official Kensington Palace Instagram account, you won't find Prince Harry, Prince William, Meghan Markle or Kate Middleton on any social media service with their own accounts.

The Kensington account is the only way for regular social media folks to gain any insight into what the royal family is up to, or what they're really like, at least on social media.

More recently, though, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did launch their own joint account, which gained an enormous number of followers. According to BBC News, the account is meant to promote their charity efforts and to make some official royal announcements.

It's not exactly an intimate look at their lives, but it is a way for Harry and Meghan to put a more personal touch on their social media presence. The account will spotlight a different charitable organization every month.
