When it comes to successful heavy metal bands, the Mötley Crüe is at the top of the list. The multi-platinum group took the world by storm in the ’80s, and they continue to win hearts to date.
Vince Neil, the lead singer of the famous band, was recently hospitalized after an attempt to pump up the crowd’s spirit sent him tumbling off the stage.
The Fall
Friday, October 15, was a significant event for Tennessee rock fans as the Monster on the Mountain Festival held in Pigeon Forge received a special guest.
As reported by TMZ, Neil set the stage ablaze with his incredible solo performance. However, while the 60-year-old was rocking out with fans, he fell off the stage.
The singer was so engrossed with the show that he didn’t notice the small gap between the speaker and the stage. This error sent the rock star falling 4 feet onto the hard floor.
Surprisingly, the band did not stop playing after the incident. Jeff Blando, the guitarist, immediately took the icon’s place as lead vocalist.
Nonetheless, bystanders were concerned about the “Dr. Feelgood” crooner as many observed he was in agony. His crew also believed that the crash may have broken the vocalist’s ribs.
As for his current condition, the news outlet confirmed that the “Home Sweet Home” singer was retrieved from the venue by an ambulance and rushed to a nearby hospital.
Although the California native’s X-ray test results have not been publicly announced, the icon’s condition is stable.
Is This The End For Neil?
For years, the Mötley Crüe lead singer has struggled with alcohol addiction. However, this recent incident was allegedly not caused by his past problems.
According to sources, Neil had not been drinking that fateful night and his fall was simply an accident. However, the icon has been facing criticism for the dwindling quality of his performances in recent years.
Despite not performing with the Mötley Crüe since 2015, the 60-year-old made a sensational comeback during his show on Friday night. Nonetheless, the night landed the icon in the hospital.
The Dilemmas Of The Past
In 2019, The Blast revealed that Neil faced a $170,000 charge in a legal battle with his former lawyers from Howard & Howard firm.
The firm accused the singer of allegedly failing to pay for their services while representing the icon in an assault lawsuit. The case in question was filed in 2016 by Kelly Guerrero.
After asking him for an autograph, the woman claimed the “Sister Of Pain” crooner physically attacked her outside the Aria Hotel in Vegas.
However, the father-of-three refuted Guerrero’s claims. The artist also accused the firm of unfairly billing him because of his celebrity status.
Alas, the case ended in the firm’s favor as Neil was ordered by the court to pay a total sum of $170,169.56.
