It’s Friday, and that means one thing for uber-fit Oscar winner, Halle Berry. The actress is basically the most dedicated user of Instagram’s #FitnessFriday ever, and she didn’t disappoint today – a brand new photo has landed on the 53-year-old’s feed.
Halle is, of course, making headlines right now for her upcoming MMA “Bruised” movie, having even been photographed with a bruised and swollen eye after sustaining an injury on-set.
Today’s photo was a touch blurry as Halle appeared in motion, but the rock-hard body was all there – Halle wore a skin-tight pair of mesh-paneled yoga pants paired with a crop top. Halle was photographed in front of a brick wall with her turned head facing the camera.
Yes, it’s unlikely to be chocolate-coated pretzels. Halle took to her caption to answer a question that seems to be a hot fan topic.
“This week we’re talking about one of my favorite subjects (and the one I get asked about ALL the time)… SNACKS. If y’all know me you know I LOVE to snack. With #2020 diets in the air, I would like to emphasize that it isn’t so much about eliminating snacks from your diet, rather being more conscious about the quality of the snacks you’re eating – it makes ALL the difference!” Halle began.
“So this week, I’m sharing some of the snacks I currently have stocked as well as recipe for my No. 1, never fails, go-to snack – home made kale chips!” she added.
The “Catwoman” star then continued by saying that she loves “savory snacks with a little more crunch.”
Somehow, we get the feeling that 12 hours on the couch and a bag of kale chips isn’t going to cut it – not if you’re aiming for anything near Halle’s jaw-dropping abs. The actress made headlines at the end of 2019 for eyeing up “another” belt in Jiu-Jitsu, per her words to her social media followers.
“I can’t believe it’s been another year of setting goals and smashing them with this incredible community. This Friday, as #2020 approaches, is the perfect time to re-group and set our fitness #intention for the new year,” Berry wrote.
“Next year, my intention is to earn another belt in Jiu Jitsu!” she added.
Halle was diangosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 22. More recently, Halle has revealed that she feels her condition has shifted to Type 2.
2018 saw Halle reveal that she’d gone keto to help manage her condition.
“The keto lifestyle offers so many benefits such as weight loss, appetite control, more energy and better mental performance,” she wrote on Instagram.
“If you’re like me, you can possibly reverse diabetes and you’ll experience better physical endurance, better skin and also less acne if that’s an issue,” Halle added.
To be fair, Kelly Ripa likely knows a thing or two about staying super-slim. Muscle seems to be Halle’s vibe, though, although she did talk fat-burning back when she was 50.
Speaking on “Live!”, Halle revealed her thought process.
“The idea of it is you train your body to burn healthy fats and so I eat healthy fats all day long. Avocado, oil, coconut oil, butter, but don’t have sugar. So when your body gets trained to burn fats and you’re constantly on fat-burning mode, that’s the secret,” she said.
Halle’s post today seemed to encourage just about everyone in the comments section, also managing to rack up over 59,000 likes in four hours. Fellow age-defying star Jennifer Aniston left Halle a like.
