Earlier this week, it was reported that there is trouble brewing on "The View" as the other four co-hosts of the talk show are not speaking to Meghan McCain behind-the-scenes. Now, Us Weekly is reporting that McCain has become a "lone wolf" and it's becoming increasingly difficult to produce the show.

"Meghan is a lone wolf at The View, and it has been difficult to produce the show because of the tensions and division," the source said, detailing that the source of the tension appears to come from McCain's relationship with co-host Whoopi Goldberg. "It has been really hostile between Whoopi and Meghan all season, and neither one of the ladies cares to hide their feelings. The negativity has been present since last season and it trickles down to the staffers that work with them."

Several weeks ago, McCain and Whoopi Goldberg got into a heated debate during an episode and Goldberg told McCain to "stop talking." When the show went to commercial, McCain reportedly walked away from the set.

"When the show went to commercial, Meghan got up from the table and was extremely upset," the source said to Us Weekly. "The other women ignored her and she walked away from the table. It was clear staffers at the show thought she wasn't going to return. Two producers talked Meghan down, and she was texting and looking at her phone before deciding to return. She had a look of defeat across her face."

"Abby was the last woman standing. It's bad. Meghan’s so rude," the source continued. "Abby tolerates Meghan, but she doesn't genuinely like her. Their friendship has soured."

A petition to have McCain replaced on the show has recently picked up steam despite being originally created two years ago. It is closing in on 10,000 signatures from unhappy viewers who think it's time for a change on the set of "The View."
