Miley Cyrus Teases 'New Era' In Handwritten Letter To Fans

Miley Cyrus certainly hasn’t been in the headlines as much as she used to be in the last few months. That may be due to the fact that she’s been doing some personal work behind the scenes. Now in a new handwritten letter to fans published on her website the Hannah Montana star is teasing a new chapter in her career. What can fans really come to expect in this new chapter in Miley’s life? There have been a couple of bread crumbs laid out by Miley for her fan base to speculate on what they can expect from her moving forward.

Certainly the fact that Miley Cyrus published a handwritten note on a website that is only accessible if you’re part of her fan club is cryptic enough. What we can’t speculate about is what she actually wrote in the note. In which, she potentially teases the new chapter of her career. Some of the lines that have been highlighted from the note include one that reads,

"There has been intense spurts of change in my life personally + professionally (which always co-exist). I am so [excited] to channel these experiences + use them as inspiration in my next body of work! I am so grateful to never go through these transitional times alone”

These days when celebs talk about transitions there are a lot of things that can come to mind. However, we’re not necessarily saying that Miley is going to take a page out of Bruce Jenner’s book, but go the other way around.

Along with the letter Miley shared a video of an over-an-hour-long set at Austin City Limits. All of this was shared on her site that is currently only accessible by fans who were on her mailing list, and got the secret password!

For years Miley has certainly done her best to do away with the image that was essentially constructed for her by Disney Channel when she stared in the Hannah Montana show. The whole password, website, flashy handwritten letter situation is very much reminiscent of Miley’s Disney days. At the same time, she’s been busting out some of the old but gold Hannah Montana songs in her recent appearances. In her Austin City Limits performance she played songs like "The Climb" and "7 Things."!

Miley’s been teasing this return to the roots phase that she’s in for a bit now. Back in July she talked to the audience at a concert and told them that since being back from the pandemic shut down everything felt like the first time. Although those comments were appropriate because shows shutdown due to the pandemic, they now seem like a precursor for her upcoming project. In those days though she mentioned,

"It kind of feels like my first time, and I've f—ing done everything a lot of f—ing times. It really feels like the first," she would go on to tell the crowd "You know when you meet somebody and you're like, 'I've never actually loved before because this s— feels so f—ing different.' That's how I feel about being here with you guys."
