Over the past few years, there have been quite a few royal weddings. Obviously, the more publicized weddings featured Prince William and Prince Harry. They are just events that allow the monarchy to shine and give people that old school fairy tale feeling. That was what a lot of people were hoping to get in the upcoming wedding between Princess Beatrice and her fiancee Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. Since both the BBC and ITV have come out and said they will not be broadcasting the wedding rumors have started to surface over the reasons why the wedding will be kept private.

So far Buckingham Palace has remained silent on the matter. Which, has actually helped start the rumor mill. The BBC had also declined the opportunity to broadcast the wedding of Princess Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie in the past. So the decision by the top British media company was expected. ITV, on the other hand, jumped at the chance to broadcast that same wedding in 2018. Getting over 3 million viewers to watch the event live. That would seem like a profitable business idea unless there is something missing.

The Interview Issue

Although it seems like Buckingham Palace is either going to stay silent on the matter or will deny any correlation between the 2 events. Public speculation is that the wedding will be kept low key because of the hot water that Prince Beatrice's father Prince Andrew finds himself in. In the last years, there were certain reports which indicated Prince Andrew had a close relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The Prince was basically forced to come out publicly and address the rumors. Let's just say things did not turn out so well.

The scandal led to Prince Andrew retiring from public duties. At the time the resignation was viewed as a forced one. Reports indicated that both Prince Charles and Prince William second and third in line to the throne respectively put a lot of pressure on the queen to make the move. Knowing all of this it really makes sense that the new royal wedding be kept a private matter. Royal weddings can be a state matter in the UK. If that where the case the Prince may have been bared from the weeding of his own daughter.

If you are bummed out about the fact that the wedding won't be broadcast live, don't worry maybe you can catch an invite. Ok, that is highly unlikely. For those of you also hoping to see the queen out and about in one of her luxurious carriages that may be an issue as well. It is unlikely that there were will be many public displays on the day of the wedding. As the royals will probably be looking to keep things private this time around.
