Sarah Hyland spilled the details on why she had to wait three months before having sex with fiancé Wells Adams.
The “Modern Family” star, 30, talked about her sex life with the “Bachelor in Paradise” bartender, 37, in the latest episode of “Lady Parts” for Ellentube, as seen on JustJared.
The episode “The Joy of Sex” was also joined by a few notable people, including Cara Delevingne, Whitney Cummings, and OBGYN Dr. Sherry.

“My fiancé and I, we couldn’t have sex for three months before we actually did, just because medically for me, I wasn’t allowed to,” Hyland said.
Cummings stated that she thinks waiting to do the deed is “f–king hot,” to which the actress responded, “It was this long waiting game that was really, really sexy.”
Two Kidney Transplants

Hyland was diagnosed with kidney dysplasia as a child and has had multiple surgeries to treat her condition, including two kidney transplants.
According to Self, Hyland had undergone 16 surgeries in total. In 2012, she started with her kidney transplant journey, where her dad helped save her life by donating one of his kidneys to her.
In 2017, the “Geek Charming” star had her second kidney transplant. This time, her younger brother, Ian Hyland, donated a kidney. She also told the publication that she chose a center near the Modern Family set to balance work and life. She also had laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and surgery to correct an abdominal hernia.
Her Struggles
In the past, Hyland shared about having “Christmas break, New Year’s, Thanksgiving” and her birthday in the hospital with kidney issues.
In April 2019, the SAG Award winner revealed to fans that she’s in constant pain due to her health issues. She also spent a weekend in the hospital with an unknown illness a few months after, as per Page Six.
Their Postponed Wedding

Hyland and Adams have been engaged since July 2019, less than two years after they met on social media. The actress and the Bachelor in Paradise alum had been planning to get married since August of last year, as reported by US Weekly. However, the COVID-19 pandemic came in the way that they had to push back their wedding plans.

Since they are taking extra precautions for health reasons, the couple moved their wedding date to this year and then to 2022.
“We were supposed to get married obviously last year, that didn’t happen. We were supposed to get married this year, that didn’t happen,” Adams told revealed during the “Bachelor in Paradise” premiere event. “So now we are hoping next year, or we’re gonna go to Vegas, or the courthouse, I don’t know — well, we’re not going to do those last two things, but I don’t know. 2022 has got to be our year, right?!”
