Kailyn Lowry got super-honest about an unexpected question she just got asked. The “Teen Mom 2” star took to her Instagram stories on Tuesday, opening by apologizing for content that was on the “TMI” side.
Kailyn was in selfie mode (virtually no makeup, glasses, gorgeous as usual), and speaking into the camera about a recent trip that had seen her subject to contact with a needle.
Kailyn didn’t outline why she’d received an injection, but her story was more about the aftermath of it.
Kail stated that with age, she’d gotten less comfortable with needles – the blonde did admit that it sounded a bit crazy what with her having two sleeve tattoos, but she explained herself.
“As I’ve gotten older it seems like my patience and pain tolerance has gone down for stuff like that,” she said.
Kailyn then outlined the post-needle situation.
“When she took the needle out to put the gauze on and like, switched it, so much blood came out,” she said, adding:
“She’s like ‘what do you do when you get your period every month,’ and I was just like, ‘first of all, when I get my period I’m not sticking myself with a goddamn needle and two, obviously, I f*cking deal with it’. But Jesus Christ, I just didn’t expect that.”
You can’t say that the MTV franchise didn’t pick diverse individuals – including former “Teen Mom OG” star Farrah Abraham. The 28-year-old made headlines today for taking to Instagram and sharing a “vagina-tightening” procedure, which she filmed for her social media followers.
Kailyn, meanwhile, tends to fit the more wholesome image, at least compared to Farrah Abraham. The star’s Instagram is packed with family vibes, and Kail has even set up her sons Isaac, Lincoln, and Lux with their own Instagram accounts.
Viewers of “Teen Mom 2” will know that Kail faced potential jail time in 2019 as a result of her decision to take her eldest son on vacation to Hawaii.
Messy visitation times with baby daddy Jo Rivera put Kailyn in a difficult position legally, although the star stuck by her decision. Opening up on her Coffee & Convos podcast, Kailyn revealed how she felt about possibly facing time behind bars.
“I made this decision [with] full awareness that I could potentially go to jail for 24 hours and I think it’s worth it,” she said.
Kailyn is more than aware of how her reality career has opened doors for her.
“I have to give a lot of thanks to the show for opening those doors to me. It’s provided me with connections and networking opportunities that made my other endeavors possible. But it’s hard to juggle the TV show and keep it separate from my other business work and being a mom. It’s a little chaotic most of the time,” she told Inked Mag in 2019.
Alongside featuring on “Teen Mom 2,” Kailyn is also running her popular Pothead haircare brand.
