Kathie Lee Gifford is a well-known TV presenter, singer, author, and occasional actress. However, to her adoring two children, the 68-year-old is simply a doting mother.

After the coronavirus pandemic stopped her daughter, Cassidy, from having her dream wedding in 2020, the French native went all out in ensuring her daughter's recent "four-day bash" was a huge success.

The Second Wedding

Last year, Cassidy tied the knot with her longtime lover Ben Wierda in a private backyard ceremony held in Michigan.

In compliance with the COVID-19 safety protocols, the couple only had 18 people in attendance, as reported by PEOPLE.

Now, the lovebirds were finally able to experience the wedding of their dreams, which they carried out in grand style. Kathie happily gushed about the couple's emotional "four-day bash" to the news outlet.

According to the mother-of-two, her daughter's second wedding occurred in Nashville. Unlike the first ceremony, where Cassidy wore an "off-the-rack cotton dress," the 28-year-old dazzled in a lace wedding gown.

The daughter of the NBC star also shared a black-and-white picture of her stunning outfit on Instagram.

In the post, she was captured sharing a blissful kiss with her man at the memorable event, on October 13.

The second ceremony had about 180 guests in attendance. A lot higher than the initial event but still small compared to what Kathie and her daughter had in mind.

Small or not, the "Then You Came" actress made Cassidy's bash a momentous day as it was held at a unique place called Acme. The venue belongs to one of the star's good friends, Tom Morales.

"Just good, good people who do for one another down here. And they'd be mad at you if you didn't ask."

Regis Philbin, Another Good Friend

When it comes to her career as a TV host, Gifford is best known for her 15-year run on the talk show "Live! with Regis and Kathie Lee." The mother-of-two co-hosted the program with the late Regis Philbin.

After the famous show came to a close, the former co-stars remained firm friends until Philbin's death.

Last year, The Blast reported that the "Hello, Little Dreamer" author had shared details about her friendship with the late icon.

The 68-year-old disclosed how Philbin had stood by her side during her late husband, Frank Gifford's 1997 cheating scandal.

The gospel singer revealed that while her private life had become a hot topic for tabloids, her former co-host always protected her on TV.

Naturally, the mother-of-two was devastated by the news of her friend's death. Gifford also admitted to having lunch with the late anchor and his wife Joy, a couple of weeks before Philbin died.

Although the trio had a wonderful time, the 68-year-old confessed that she noticed her friend's declining health. The TV personality later died from a heart attack at the age of 88 in July 2020.
