They were our favorite couple of the early 2000’s; the seemingly perfect power couple who strutted down red carpets like they were the quarterback and captain of the cheerleading squad in the high school of Hollywood.
It was a terribly sad day for fans of the couple, who felt their entire idea of love had been stomped on; we all questioned if love even existed at all.
Of course, we now know that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have split, with many feeling Jennifer had been redeemed in some way.
However, it seems the former Friends actress could care less about those two, considering she moved on quite some time ago, not just with a new man but in her life.
Looking fantastic during her recent 50th birthday celebrations, it looked as if the beauty was hosting an awards show, with a number of celebrities showing up, including George Clooney, Reese Witherspoon, and Demi Moore. But, the most high-profile guest was Jen’s ex-husband Brad Pitt.
A source told E! News, “Someone extended the invitation to Brad to come to Jen’s party and he accepted. He wanted to support Jen and it was a momentous occasion.”
Not only did Brad attend her birthday party, but he also attended her annual Christmas party, with another source telling E! News, “They don’t talk often but when they do its very warm and positive. It’s not as big of a deal to them as it is to everyone around them.”
True as that may be, any time these two are spotted within a mile radius of each other, the whole world swoons, holding out hope that our favorite golden couple of the early 2000’s will finally reunite. We all want that awful breakup to be a thing of the past.
Despite their breakup, the exes appear on good terms, with sources telling E! News, “There’s no awkwardness and they are friendly. They wish each other the best and are on good terms.
They’ve been in touch over the last few years and talk occasionally. If they run into each other they will congratulate each other and exchange pleasantries. They want the best for each other.”
Clearly, they are playing things down, as if the former couple are just keeping things civil.
However, with both of them now divorced, the road is definitely open for a reunion, and with how often they’re seeing each other now, it wouldn’t be crazy to expect that they might find that spark again.
The former golden couple were seated at separate tables but just “feet apart” at the Golden Globes and fans are absolutely freaking out over this turn of events, especially with how much they’ve been seeing each other over the last few months. Jen was seen excitedly clapping for Brad as he accepted his award.
A source told Hollywood Life, “They’ve built their bond and rekindled their friendship so much more than it was the past few years now that they’re both single. They’ve realized what’s important in life and since they shared so much love for each other it’s such a nice thing for them both to have this kind of close friendship again. They trust each other and love the fact that they have someone who has their back.”
Will their Golden Globes reunion mean a reunion of their former relationship as well? We can only hope that the nostalgia we’re all hoping for comes back this year, starting with Brad and Jen.
