Drake Says Adele Is One Of His 'Best Friends In The World' Amid Single Release

Last week, Adele revealed that she'd be releasing her first single since 2015, on October 15. The singer has now delivered, as her "Easy On Me" record is now available worldwide. Easy On Me was released early in the United States, as it was initially put out at midnight, in the United Kingdom. The fan reaction has been positively overwhelming, as fans are happy that Adele is back, and view Easy On Me as another huge hit for her. Celebrities are starting to pour in the love for Adele as well, including Drake.

On Thursday evening, Drake took to his Instagram stories, to express how excited he was, for the release of Easy On Me. He posted a photo of Adele, with the caption "One of my best friends in the world just dropped a single ?," he wrote atop a photo of Adele. "@adele ??? WOIIIIIIII" The two have been friends for a while now, as both are also two of the biggest artists in the world.

Last week, Adele showed Drake love on social media as well. Then, she went on Instagram Live for the first time ever, and revealed that Drake's "Certified Lover Boy," is her favorite album released, this year. This project was put out on September 3, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, and spent three consecutive weeks there. The past two weeks at the top position have been occupied each by NBA Youngboy and Taylor Swift, but this week, CLB is set to return to number one. Drake went on to create a number one hit with CLB, as "Way 2 Sexy," featuring Future and Young Thug, topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Adele went on to release the music video for "Easy On Me," the same night of its release, as it contained black and white visuals. More material is on the way as well, as Adele's fourth studio album, "30," is set for a November 19 release date. This was announced two days ago, on her social media feeds, as a letter was also penned to her fans. Adele passionately explained the journey in her life over the last three years, including her starting on this 30 album, in 2018.

"I was certainly nowhere near where I'd hoped to be when I first started [this album] nearly 3 years ago. Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly - willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!

I've learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I've shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones. Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome mentalities to lead with, and I feel like I've finally found my feeling again. I'd go as far as to say that I've never felt more peaceful in my life. 

And so, I'm ready to finally put this album out."
