William Shatner has literally taken his role of being Captain Kirk and made it a full blown reality.
The “Star Trek” actor recently shot out into outer space and it has forever changed his life.
The 90-year-old has officially become the oldest person to travel to outer space, and he says the experience was ‘indescribable.’

Shatner recently went to space on Amazon head-honcho Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin’s New Shepard capsule.
His history making journey took place on Wednesday, October 13.
Blue Origin’s website states that the reusable craft’s 11-minute flights are “designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Kármán line — the internationally recognized boundary of space.”
He first stated the obvious, he was “overwhelmed” by the experience.
Shatner recalled an ‘ominous’ all-black view from his window saying, “When I was there in space, everything I thought might be clever to say about the trip went out the window,” adding “Everything else just stood still for a moment.”
Another aspect of this astronomical trip was how fast they were able to get into space and the experience of breaking through earth’s ozone.
“The experience of going at 2,500 miles an hour, breaking through this little thin blue skin that surrounds earth that provides us with life, we broke through that with the count of one or two at 2,500 miles an hour, and the skin is 50 miles thick,” he exclaimed.
Capt. Kirk Shatner!
The experience mesmerized and also terrified him, given that the future of the planet is in our hands and it is on a fast track to never healing from climate change.
“I was overwhelmed with the experience, with the sensation of looking at death and looking at life. It’s become a cliché of how we need to take care of the planet, but it’s so fragile,” Shatner said. “I was struck so profoundly by it.”
“The feeling of weightlessness is indescribable.”

Prior to launch, Bezos took to Instagram to post a photo of the four astronauts on board and wrote, “Bill, Audrey, Chris, Glen — you’re about to share an experience that will forever change how you view the world. Godspeed. This is how it starts. 🚀”
While this was certainly an astounding moment in history, some famous faces weren’t too impressed with it. Enter Prince William into the chat!
