Kelly Ripa is reminiscing on where she watched the ball drop in 1999, and she's blaming her NYE lewks on the fear of Y2K. The "Live With Kelly and Ryan" host has been sharing some pretty great throwbacks as she's reflecting on celebrations over the years, and Thursday she posted a photo from her festivities that went down over 20 years ago.

"Y2K at the Randolph’s. We were told the world was ending, so naturally i crimped my hair," Ripa explained in her throwback photo.

Look at the Camcorders!

In the awesome retro photo, Kelly Ripa can be seen crouching down while holding her then-2-year-old son, Michael Consuelos, who had already been put in his pajamas. She's sporting a year-2000 headband, which is barely containing her wild mop of crimped hair. Ripa's husband, Mark Consuelos, is seen standing behind her with a group of people while wearing a yellow lei and a buzzed haircut.

The photo is made even more outdated when you see what Consuelos is holding in his hand ... way before the existence of video cameras in cellphones.

"guys......look at the camcorders," Ripa added in the comments.

2020 Look

Coming into the new decade, Ripa opted out of crimping her hair, and instead made a big fashion statement with a bedazzled turban. She shared the photo while reflecting on the past quarter-century spent with her husband.

"25 #newyear eves with @instasuelos but this is the first one wearing a turban."

Fans went wild in the comments for her headwear, telling the TV host, "That is the best looking turban I’ve seen. Happy new year to the entire Consuelos family!"

Others agreed Ripa may have started the fashion trend of 2020.

Fun Times With Family

Kelly Ripa's trip to Telluride has been filled with warm moments of her and the rest of her family, including husband Mark Consuelos. They've owned a home out in the mountains for years, and the "Live With Kelly and Ryan" host recently shared a photo from way back in 2012.

Sitting on a wooden bench outside their home, Ripa and Consuelos are seen with their son, Michael, who was a mere teenager at the time.

"Three chickens, one nest," she captioned the throwback photo.

She's spent much of this year's vacation hitting the slopes and making some new memories, including finding a full-length mirror in her home!
