Owen Wilson Has Still Never Met His 3-year-old Daughter

Owen Wilson has three kids –two boys and one girl – and while they all have different moms, the actor has made it a point to spend time with his sons and not his daughter. All this is according to Wilson’s ex, Varunie Vongsvirates.

Earlier this month, Wilson's baby mama shared a picture of her daughter celebrating her third birthday on October 9. The adorable blond apparently gets financial support from Wilson but doesn’t know him as daddy.

Vongsvirates shared in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mailthat Wilson doesn’t reach out to the little girl named Lyla. “He has never met her, unfortunately,” she admitted. Lyla was born in 2018 after the former couple dated “casually” for five years.

The 37-year-old shared with Daily Mail that she “begged” Wilson to be involved. “He helps financially but it’s never been about that.” She is more concerned with the role that a father plays in a girl's life. “Lyla needs a father. It’s ironic how [Owen] keeps getting these father roles, he's playing a father in his new movie, and he's never met his own daughter.”

Lyla looks just like her dad in the picture her mom shared for her third birthday so there is no chance he could deny her. Plus, he took a paternity test back in 2018 that confirmed he is the father and yet, still he has failed to show up physically in her life.

The whole ordeal is awkward, but Vongsvirates admits that she knew her on/off relationship with the now 57-year-old was only “casual”. She didn’t say specifically what led to the two no longer seeing one another or if the pregnancy occurred before or after the breakup.

However, she is baffled that he would pay so much attention to his boys and not his only daughter. We agree, it is kind of weird, it’s not like he doesn’t know about her and really distance isn’t an issue but if it was, he’s worth millions, he could find a way.

Wilson keeping quiet about his daughter is not because he values privacy as someone in a public profession, he talks about his boys all the time. 10-year-old Robert is named after his own father and the result of a relationship with Jade Duell and 7-year-old Finn with fitness trainer Caroline Lindqvist, who he is allegedly seeing again.

“It's unbelievable. I mean, anything Ford says is just, like, the funniest thing ever, and I can make and joke and it's, like, crickets. It's like nothing from those guys,” said Wilson in an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show about the bond his boys have despite having different mothers.

He also shared that he calls Robert by his middle name Ford and how Finn just idolizes his big brother. “I'm already sort of seeing how they're gonna be as teenagers, where they're gonna be sort of be ganging up on me,” he joked with the veteran comedian.

A source has shared with PEOPLE recently that after the paternity of Lyla was confirmed, Wilson “checked the no visitation box in court in June” opting out of “any custody” available to him as the father. Something isn't adding up here.
