It is a season of miracles for William Ray Norwood Jr., known professionally as Ray J, as he survived a life-threatening battle with pneumonia.
The singer has been discharged from a hospital in Miami and allowed to continue his recovery from the comfort of his home.
TMZ reported that sources close to the situation said that Ray J has discontinued his usage of an inhaler and oxygen and was sent home over the weekend.
The sources added that the star believed his tight schedule and frequent travel were the cause of his diagnosis, but he understands that he must now prioritize his health.
The actor believed he would not survive his battle and is full of gratitude over his successful recovery, the tabloid revealed.
On October 6, The Blast reported that Ray J was clinging to life at a hospital in Miami due to his pneumonia diagnosis.
The entrepreneur’s manager David Weintraub told Hollywood Unlocked that, about four days back, Ray J was struggling to breathe and had to be admitted at a hospital in Miami, Florida.
The star was placed in the COVID wing as his symptoms were thought to be COVID-19. After more than five covid tests were conducted and came out negative, he was moved out of the wing.
The publication reported that the TV personality was in bad shape and struggling to breathe despite receiving oxygen.
Filing For Divorce The Third Time
Legal documents retrieved show that the “One Wish” star filed for divorce in Los Angeles County Court a few hours after being hospitalized for pneumonia.
This would be the third time the famous duo has tried to end their marriage legally.
In May 2020, Love filed for divorce then dropped the case. Ray J did the same in September, but his partner filed to dismiss the case.
The former couple share two children, 3-year-old Melody and 1-year-old Epik. It is unclear who will have custody over them, but they seem to be in the care of Love.
The public is yet to know why the “Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood” star filed for a split from his partner, especially while battling a serious condition at the hospital.
Nevertheless, Ray J has a lot to celebrate with his family and friends now that his pneumonia crisis has passed.
