Matt Damon revealed how he "knew every word" to Harry Styles' songs!
In a recent interview with Jeremy Parsons at PEOPLE (the TV Show!), the actor, 51, shared about taking his daughters -- Isabella, 15, Gia, 12, and Stella, 10 -- to see the "Watermelon Sugar" singer's concert at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.
The Best Dad
"It was great. Yeah, yeah it was great," he told the host. "They love him. And that album dropped, or at least I became aware of it, in that first lockdown. So we had that on repeat."
According to People, the British singer, 27, released his second solo album, Fine Line, in December 2019, just months before COVID-19 struck the United States. Due to the pandemic, he had to cancel all his concerts, including Love on Tour.
It was only last month that Styles kicked off his delayed concert -- the same event that Damon and his girls attended.
The "Jason Bourne" star revealed to the publication that he "knew every word to every song" at the concert, adding that he may be "too old to know all the words."
The Ultimate Present
In an interview with Tara Hitchcock, Damon talked about surprising his eldest daughter, Isabella, with a video from Styles himself, which was considered the ultimate gift for any fan of the singer.
"Last Christmas, my wife, it was a one-two punch," Damon said. "We gave my 15-year-old a life-size cardboard cutout of Harry Styles. Harry Styles did a little video and said 'Hello' to her, and she lost her mind. I think that was the best we've done so far. I don't know how we'll top it."
Damon also added that he "didn't know" about the video Styles recorded for his daughter.
"I am forever grateful to him," the actor said. "I really owe him one. I don't know how I would ever repay or what I could possibly repay with, but that was pretty cool."
His Relationship With His Daughters
Last year, Damon sat down in an interview on CBS Sunday Morning, where he revealed one of his daughter's rules about which of his films she'll she, as per ET.
Talking about his 1997 movie, "Good Will Hunting," Damon said his "15-year-old refuses to see it."
He continued, "She doesn't want to see any movies that I'm in that she thinks might be good. She just likes to give me sh--t."
The actor went on to give an example of how his teenager did just that.
"My daughter said, 'Remember that movie you did, The Wall?' I said, 'It was called The Great Wall,'" Damon said of his 2016 film. "She goes, 'Dad, there's nothing great about that movie.' She keeps my feet firmly on the ground."
His Wife Liked Ben Affleck
Damon is also stepdad to his wife Luciana Barroso's, daughter, Alexia, 22, from a previous relationship.
A few days ago, Damon was invited to Dax Shephard's Armchair Expert podcast with co-host Monica Padman.
In the episode, Damon revealed that his wife had a crush on Ben Affleck way before they got together.
"My wife, in fact, she was the Ben fan before we met," Damon stated. "And her best friend was on my team."
